The Devil tsked. “If I am to be housing you, I need to know if the payoff will be worth it." The Devil walked closer towards him, cane thumping ominously. “So tell me, merchling, are you worth my while?”
"I wouldn’t presume to tell you what your while's worth, sir.” Wylan’s throat constricted. “But I do have other uses."
The Devil raised an eyebrow. "Pray tell."

For once, Jesper has gotten lucky with cards. If you can call it lucky to win an unfairly quick-witted indenture that Pekka Rollins very much does not want to lose. Wylan, meanwhile, is just looking for the least bad situation he can hope for in the Barrel, which he expects is still quite, quite bad.

Summary
Four years after Aziraphale became Supreme Archangel, he returns to Earth for good. The end of the world has been averted, and if humanity knew, they’d be kissing the ground Aziraphale walked on for preventing it.
But how exactly he stopped the Rapture, Aziraphale does not remember. Whatever they did to him up there leaves a coldness in his soul where memory should be. What he does remember is Crowley four years ago, leaving him in the bookshop, leaving him to face Heaven alone.
Now that he’s saved the world and returned, Aziraphale finds Crowley right where the Demon left him. And he is not as quick to forgive as he used to be.

“Wow. Wow.” Crowley watched as the humans who had summoned him ran across the grass, screeching as they fled. “They’re losing their bloody heads, aren’t they?”
“Don’t be silly, Crowley,” Aziraphale said crossly, in a voice that boomed so much that it nearly knocked over a nearby oak tree. “I didn’t do anything to their heads. I’m an angel.”

‘Crowley… Cr-Crow-ley… Crow… ley…’
Crowley sprinted faster towards Aziraphale’s fading voice, praying for him to find him. Not praying to Her. God had already forsaken him, abandoned him, had given him up to be destroyed. Now all that love and praise, all that faith, was being placed in the one person who would answer his prayers in his hour of need.
Wherever Aziraphale was, Crowley would come to him. Even when he never asked him to, Crowley had never and will never let him down. Not today.
~oOo~
Or: Crowley has a far too real nightmare of Aziraphale being tortured in Heaven begging for his help and sets off with Muriel to rescue his best friend.

Summary
Aziraphale’s lips parted, and the look of blatant shock on his angel’s face— visible for only the barest of moments before he steeled himself back to stony anger— made Crowley’s heart twist miserably. Never again, he vowed. Never again would Aziraphale go on thinking he ought to apologize for every fight they ever had, whereas Crowley’s temper was excused without exception. Aziraphale’s forgiveness would never be taken advantage of again. He’d sleep naked on consecrated grounds before he did it again.
OR
Crowley reflects on his relationship with Aziraphale, their last conversation, and how to make things right. He finds Aziraphale, ready to take accountability, and the two finally communicate as they take the next step how they always wanted to: Together.

Looking at the number of fics for this amazing production, the market is apparently small which means I’ve been forced to contribute. I can't completely call it a fix-it fic because they are a perfect tragedy and I love it. But also wouldn't it be nice to imagine a universe where they managed to successfully talk about their feelings before their silence caused a war?
In which Guenevere asks a very important question before her husband rushes off to see his first love. Sorry to Aaron Sorkin for butchering his lovely dialogue with my bad memory everywhere I tried to quote it. Just another reason to release a recording.
Title from You’re Losing Me by Taylor Swift because I firmly believe Genny would relate to it. But happy, I promise.

"I'm saying I don't think holding back feelings and desires is going to do us any good” Arthur turned away from the pair and began to pace, “It is against the law to see each other behind my back, to act upon love when your husband is not around. The solution is clear; if I am here while you two are together there is no foul play. Resolved!” he nodded sharply.
(Arthur, Lancelot and Guinevere are trying to find a sensible solution to their love triangle...but none of them are really that sensible)

Summary
The angel approached Crawly with a quick step, and Crawly—well, never let it be said he’s slow on the uptake. And he’s learned over the past twenty-some hours on Earth that angels very much strike first and apologize never.
So he backpedaled, keeping a healthy distance (and a large ficus) between himself and the guardian, and didn’t mind if it made him look like a coward.
Only—the angel certainly looked stricken by that maneuver. He froze mid-step and wrung his hands, eyes wide and lamplike and strangely human.
So maybe the ficus was a bit much.

Summary
“You’re staring.”
“Oh dear,” says Aziraphale, completely unapologetic. “How rude of me.”
Crowley begins to smile something slow, bright, and lovely, but he schools it with a bite to his lower lip. Aziraphale thinks of the way he looked two millennia ago, pressed up against the wall with Aziraphale's blessing healing his wounds, the only demon to experience divine ecstasy and live to tell the tale. How Aziraphale's hands itch to do it again, and again, and again. Crowley opens his mouth as if to say something, but then stops and spins around instead to go back to stirring the curry.
“Shut up,” he says to the stove, flustered.

Summary
After Aziraphale returns from Edinburgh (end of S2 Ep4), a mysterious downpour from above sends Crowley back into the shelter of the bookshop, forcing him to look into his angel's eyes and attempt to admit that they are made for each other.
But, the course of true love never did run smooth. Hijinks and vavoom-ing and angst ensue through the Season 2 canon and beyond.
...
Aziraphale turns around. Crowley’s glasses are off and his eyes are blown wide with something like an answering craving to Aziraphale’s own. And also fear. Definitely fear.
“Right. Ok. Mmmm. I think it’s now or never, angel.”
Aziraphale can only stare. But Crowley seems to be waiting for an answer, for permission to proceed. They stand there together, their gazes locked, on the edge of the precipice they’ve been dancing along for 6,000 years. Water still drips from the hems of Crowley’s clothes and onto the floor in a quiet, hypnotic rhythm.
Aziraphale manages to take a shaky breath. And then he nods.

Summary
"Really," Crowley says, and laughs, sharp and mean. "They gave you the job and not the authority to run it? Well, isn’t that a surprise. If only someone had told you."
"That's not how these things work! It's just—slow going, is all. Change takes time, Crowley."
"Sure, yeah. Climb your way up, but not too much, ey?"
"It's not about me," Aziraphale says, snappy, in that holier-than-thou voice. Crowley smiles mirthlessly, bares his teeth.
"No, you're just a tool for the greater Good, are you. How's that working out, d'you think?"
"Swimmingly, actually. The Metatron really appreciates my suggestions." He smiles—soft, wondrous, almost disbelieving. Crowley wants to scratch it out of his face. Wants to shake him until he comes to his senses and drops to his knees and begs him—
"I always knew you were naive, but not this much," he hisses. "They're going to chew you up and put you through the grinder until you can't take it anymore and then, when you finally, finally snap, they'll cast you down like they did the rest of us."
Aziraphale's eyes flick down once—to his mouth, Crowley realizes, and abruptly steps back, face prickling with shame. Shame, him. Imagine that.

It was a truth universally acknowledged that an angel in possession of no memory must be in want of a wife.
No, that was the wrong book. The wrong line. Aziraphale frowned.
“What,” the gentleman before him asked, “and I mean what, are you doing here?”

Or, two years after things fall apart, Aziraphale shows up at Crowley's doorstep without his memories. The easy part is getting it back, the hard part is getting them back together.

Summary
Aziraphale unfolded the piece of paper slowly beneath the horrid lighting. He cleared his throat and looked around, the corners of his mouth faltering just a second when he landed on Crowley.
He looked down at the paper.
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth—”
“Jesus Christ,” Crowley grumbled.
“No, dear, he came later, remember?”
------
Crowley knows his worth. He can't take Aziraphale back immediately after how hurt he's been. And for once, Aziraphale has to work for that forgiveness. Both of them are a mess. Both of them go to therapy—unexpectedly, together.
Angst with a happy ending.

“But you admit it! You did tempt me!”
“I offered you warm food during a storm,” Crowley argues. “If you call that temptation, I’d hate to see you talk to an innkeeper.” Aziraphale scowls some more. Crowley shrugs. “Besides, no harm done. You seem to be enjoying yourself.”
He has Aziraphale there. “Still,” he says, spreading his hands wide. “It has to be said—” He glances up to the sky. “—for anyone listening, that I am not at fault for my appetite.”
“Never said you were,” Crowley says. “Just said you liked the oysters.”
