The Succubus Nostrum is a potion empowered by the mana of a succubus (read: mamono. All mamono are succubi or incubi, though the series uses "succubus" to describe mamono in general as the concept of a male mamono is barely talked about) to empower the drinker with stronger magic, but at the cost of going through monsterization if one drinks too much.
For those of you that are curious, a "nostrum" is a medicine made by someone not certified in medicine. Many potions for health benefits fall under this term, even if the ingredients separately are known to have medical benefits, as many who make home remedies don't know how the chemicals in their medicines react with each other, though it is mostly used to describe old-timey elixirs, generally peddled by shady businessmen out on the street looking for their next victim. The essential oils medicine movement comes to mind. Despite how much I hate Dr Oz and his shady snake oil show, his stuff is not nostrum unless made at home, as he is, or at least was, certified in medicine.

In the following days, Kaiba was now on complete guard when he was around Yugi's friends. He didn't trust Yugi and he never would again. He continued to sneak side glances at Yugi in classes and very easily avoided the smaller male, stride always overpowering the other in speed. Most of the time when Yugi approached him, he found a swift way to dismiss himself before he had to actually speak to Yugi or only exchanged a few short words. Yugi seemed completely oblivious to why Kaiba was avoiding him. It wasn't like they had any type of fight in recent days?
Yugi frowned as he saw Kaiba's gaze flick over to him and then quickly turn heel and stride off. Yugi paused where he stood, very confused about why his friend was ignoring him.

By all accounts, Kaiba's reckless foray into Duat in search of one last battle with Atem ended unceremoniously in little more than an hour. He came home sobered and tight-lipped, and rapidly implemented a number of necessary but unpopular safety features to the Dual Links metaverse. Yuugi and his friends went off to college or trade school, believing the problem was solved. Unfortunately, as Atem discovered the hard way, the damage on the side of Duat was done, and the cracks have started to spider into present-day Earth. Apep, serpent god of chaos has struck out from the 10th Realm of Duat, wreaking havoc across the other realms and sinking its fangs into the divine structures separating it from the living world. Atem and his court once again find themselves on the frontlines, and try as they might to keep the battle confined to Duat, Maat has her way of sending chaos back to its source. As things rapidly spiral out of control, old friends, frenemies, and even an outright enemy are sucked in and forced to collaborate.
