“I did make a vow to that effect in the past,” Megatron agreed, pulling away with a grin, “of course, that was before I knew you would become one. If I had known, perhaps I would have phrased it differently. Now, why don’t you open your panels so I can show you why I’m on my knees for my Prime?”
OR
In a world where Orion became Optimus much sooner and somewhat against his will, he and Megatronus led a revolution together as conjunx endurae. After, while rebuilding Cybertron, Optimus Prime worries that Megatron won't be attracted to him in his new frame.

“It’s not just that!” Rodimus said, outraged. His optics sparked furiously. “He banned our monthly dance-offs! I perfected my routine for two whole months! And ship’s morale was down by two per cent!”“I didn’t know that you were capable of using statistics.” Perceptor said, dryly.
----(Basically: Megs is grumpy for the whole mission because he misses his conjunx. Roddy and co. complain about him – not realizing that they’re complaining to said conjunx. Hilarity and copious amounts of fluff ensue).

“I guess I’ve gained quite the reputation in some circles,” Orion said as he thickly swallowed the rest of high-grade clinging to his glossa. “I’m experienced, even if I may not look the part.” Megatronus hummed, seemingly pleased with the answer. Orion wasn’t in the habit of discussing his private life with strangers or colleagues, especially considering what said part of his private life pertained to, but the expression on the gladiator’s face was void of judgment, and he allowed himself to relax.
“We really do have the same profession. I wouldn’t have guessed,” Megatronus replied, lying back on the couch of the crappy bar. The scraping sound of well used iron-furniture made Orion grimace.
Or, Megatronus, a gladiator working on the side as a hitman, and Orion Pax, an archivist and sugar baby, misunderstand each other as having the same job when they get hired to infiltrate a Senator's party.

Dammit, Optimus was already appealing enough with his protective nature, soft blue eyes, and broad frame that was perfect for cuddling, but put a sparkling with him and all those attributes amplified and it was so unfair! How could Primus allow such an impossible mech to actually exist?

“Actually,” Optimus starts, and Dee immediately tunes out every word he has to say after that.
Most Cybertronians will say the greatest absurdity of their lives is how the government has been seemingly upended in the course of only a few cycles and now run by a bunch of young upstarts. Dee, on the other servo, thinks it’s that Optimus Prime of all mechs has started falling asleep on duty.

Megatron seems to be rather relaxed, opting for a less balanced stance. Of course, he is also turning his back on his oldest enemy. Well, his ex-enemy, if labels were to be technical and accurate. Megatron turns around, the shower coolant already switched to a warmer lubricant mixture, kicking up steam as it patters against the shower floor. Optimus catches his glowing red optics. He remembers that often in the chaos of abstract art, there was a focal point for the mind to rest. He holds onto red amidst the greys, silvers, muted dust brown and metal filings.
Megatron: Optimus’ unintentional, haphazard artwork – clobbered together from punched metal, hurt ego and Optimus’ own hopes and dreams. A breath catches in Optimus’ throat.
‘Let me help you.’
Megatron cocks a brow. A slight crease in his optic — did humans call that crow’s feet? — and a wry smile breaks through the storm clouding his face.
‘You are more than welcome to.’Or

Summary
Jazz and Prowl exchange a strange look, something that makes Megatron want to strangle them because he can’t decipher what it is. He pushes back the suspicion that they’ve caught onto his situation; it would be impossible for them to know. There is nothing different about Prime’s frame or processor from when Ratchet had scanned him during his forced berth rest. They cannot know about him.
“If you need an extended leave, don’t refrain from requesting it,” Prowl says after a small pause. “That was quite a blow to the helm you took.”
“A measly blow to the helm won’t deter me in the slightest,” Megatron snaps before he can think better. When he does think better, he reiterates to a wide-eyed Prowl, “that is, my helm is more than capable of taking a hit.”
Jazz laughs at that. It sounds strained.
“Sure,” he agrees, “yeah, sure. Hey, how many digits am I holding up?”
