A hand was held out in front of her face. Pale, limber fingers trailing up a muscular arm.
Nina looked up, her eyes glassy and unblinking. His face didn't waiver-- he'd wait for her answer all day if he had to. Nina swallowed a happy sob in her throat, and took the hand. It was ever as inviting and warm as it had been.
"Special?" she sniffed and wiped hot tears from her face, and then took his warm hand, "I don't feel very special."
"Believe me," he smirked in that knowing, pretty way, "You are."
