For a long moment, Felix just stared at him, his expression caught between exhaustion and wariness. The silence stretched, and Chan’s heart hammered painfully against his ribs.
Then, Felix gave the smallest of nods.
It was barely anything, but to Chan, it was everything.
In that instant, he knew. With a certainty so fierce it left him breathless, Chan knew this boy—this fragile, freckled, fire-hearted omega—was his mate.
And nothing in this world would ever change that.

It’s so interesting to see their dynamic, how different it is from Fizz and Oz, yet so familiar in other ways.
“Is that so, Blitzy? Shall I get back to it? Would you like me to get Fizzarolli so sopping wet you could just… slide right in?”
They’d not discussed anything further yet but every single one of them shudders in anticipation at the suggestion, Oz included. Blitzø’s hand slides around to the back of Stolas’ head, yanking hard at the feathers there.
“You wanna see me fuck someone else that bad, birdy? Want to watch me fuck Fizz until he cries around my dick just like you do?”

There are a couple of things that are just facts of the universe. As steadily as the Earth turns, these facts will remain true. (In Harry’s opinion, at least.)
One.
Soulmates are destined to be. From the second someone is born, they are designated a particular person to be with, romantically or platonically, the strings of fate will tie them together for the rest of time.
(Harry’s are Harry Styles, you’re a fucking piece of work. He’s come to accept that they’re not the most flowery, but they come from a place of affection somewhere.)
Two.
The world is ugly. As beautiful as the soulmates concept is, the universe must punish them somehow, in the form of missed connections, violence, racism, homophobia… the list goes on.
(Harry’s heart aches each time he hears a saddening story. Such things have only strengthened his resolve to be a better person in every way he can, to spread compassion through his words and actions)
And three.
Harry Styles is irrevocably, impossibly in love with Louis Tomlinson, and Louis has absolutely no fucking clue.

“I don’t want you going out on patrols for the time being,” Peter Two tells him as he patches the younger man up in their apartment. “Not until you get over this.”
“Get over what?” Peter snorts indignantly, hissing a little as the older man cleans one of his cuts. “What’s wrong with me?”
“Nothing’s wrong with you,” Peter Two replies softly. “You’ve just got empty nest syndrome.”
“Er…what?”
“Y’know, empty nest syndrome? You’re feeling sad because Peter One has gone off to college and you miss him. You’re experiencing sadness and grief and now it’s affecting your powers and our sex life.”
Peter can feel his eyes stinging, because he knows Peter Two is right, and he feels so ashamed.
Peter One isn’t even their kid, and yet he’s acting like some flustered mother duck.
