Summary
When Merlin is a child, he is taken from Hunith's loving arms to Cenred's unforgiving kingdom. Raised to be Cenred's soldier, Merlin draws the line at killing recklessly and must escape - finding himself in Camelot, trying to appear as inconspicuous as possible.
Of course, this doesn't work out, as he quickly runs into Arthur, the young king of Camelot. Though Arthur is wary, he is intrigued by Merlin, and follows his heart to the warlock... and into some serious trouble.
OR: Merlin is hurt, but he finds Arthur and falls in love, and that almost fixes everything.

Summary
To hurt Balinor, someone sends the assassin Myror to kill the Dragonlord's lover, Hunith. Merlin ends up getting 'adopted' by the assassin, and yet thanks to Leon still manages to save Arthur's life over and over again, somehow. It is only out of loyalty to Leon that he does it, but as he grows closer to the prince, his loyalties begin to change.

Summary
Fics & ficlets I’ve had running through my head and want to put out in the ether. Mostly Matt whump with a little silliness down the road (esp as I drift more into Avengers crossovers).
Mostly stand-alone, though others in the series can add context for character interactions as that builds. But think of it more as snapshots over time instead of a continuous narrative.
Current theory is that it's how I process my own sensitive senses and chronic pain. But I'm at the point I keep cycling these in my head, re-editing them, and it's becoming a problem for focus and sleep. I'm hoping that getting them out of my head will help me stop #@!&ing thinking about them finally.
I feel like I’ve read just about every DD fanfic on this site at this point, and I'm sometimes unsure if my ideas are actually original versus just an amalgamation of all I’ve read Frankensteined together. To that effect, if you notice something is super similar to something else you've read, then my brain probably looped it in to my own story, so please let me know in the comments so I can take a look to see if I remember it, then credit it under 'remix/inspired by' accordingly.
