Not that even he could have ever expected to be hailed as the 'Warrior of Light'.
Kind of ironic, really.Or: a Persona 5 x Final Fantasy XIV crossover fic in which Joker, instead of a much-belated post-Strikers break, gets his ass Isekai'd into The Source and somehow winds up in the role of Eorzea's champion. As one does.
(Both Royal and Strikers compliant, for the most part. Spoilers for all that and, if I can actually keep it up, the entirety of FFXIV. Protagonist's name is Ren Amamiya.)

Danny would like to say for the record that it was not his fault.
In fact, Danny would say that it was entirely Clockwork's fault. After all, he wouldn't even be in this situation if it wasn't for that cryptic time god.
But what was his fault was the fact that he kept helping.
He kept taking the cash from the assholes messing with the residents who lived in the area (and damn there were a lot of assholes near where he lived). He kept accepting their offers of food. So because of this new routine that kept him able to afford to rent out his shitty (and possibly illegal) apartment and the hunger pangs sufficiently satisfied, rumors grew.
tldr; after Clockwork dropped of Danny in Gotham he tries to make the best out of the situation which includes helping out some people. Except along the way that led to rumors that he was an up-and-coming crime boss. A rumor he was largely unaware of.

However, if she sent them alone, they would break, or break the world really. Luckily her good friend Cloud was right there and he always had problems saying no when someone needed help. Maybe together he could change and help more than just the three if given the chance. If he could get past the Turks, Shinra, and Soldiers wanting to know why there were three children running around that looked like mini versions of the General Sephiroth and their keeper a blond man who just might be stronger.
