Attend his friends' parties, maintain small talk, get through the day — and hopefully his friends won't realize how messed up he really is.

He can't even get his girlfriend to text him back.
So, sure. Maybe he's not in the best head space right now — but 'suicidal'? Ladybug's certainly just reading too deeply into things. But if her concern for Chat Noir's mental state is enough to get her reaching out, well, he won't turn down the opportunity to chat with a friend. Susie blinks expectantly at them, waiting for them to show the ‘evidence’ that they aren’t, in fact, cold. She’s expecting a smile, or something. Perhaps a wide, toothy grin. Actually, the more she thinks about that, the scarier it sounds. Kris doesn’t do that kind of stuff. Not unless they wanna be creepy about it, that is.
But, instead, they drag their weight ever so slightly closer – inching towards her in ridiculously small increments. And, when near enough, instead of showcasing a cheeky grin, or even the slightest smile, they instead wrap their jaw around Susie’s cheek.

It’s a fool-proof plan. Their SOUL has become the vehicle by which some great otherworldly force steals their body. No SOUL, no puppeting— they’ve already proven that. So fuck all the plans that Carol has about opening Dark Worlds, and fuck all the plans that the thing living in their SOUL has about making them hurt people. Berdly’s in a goddamn coma, and Noelle was made to put him there, and it’s only going to get worse. Kris is done. They’ve got their own plan. It’s a great plan. They send Susie home early, and then they drag out their SOUL, and they stuff it in a tin, and then they throw it in the goddamn river.
