Alex’s eyes go wide and he clearly takes a beat too long to respond because the man suddenly snaps his eyes up, wild gaze indicating that the question clearly shocked him as much as it shocked Alex, before backtracking.
“Not that– you don’t have to answer that,” he smiles politely, “I may have crossed a line there.”
“No worries,” he breathes out before continuing, “I– I actually don’t have experience with, uhm… in this department.”
The man chuckles and Alex can feel his own cheeks go pink.
“No need to be embarrassed,” the man’s voice is steady and kind, “but, if I may be a bit forward, anal play is one of the great pleasures of a man’s life.” His eyes travel down and up Alex’s body before meeting his eyes, “I think you’d enjoy it.”

The man starts to cock the hammer of gun, and Alex squeezes his eyes shut, his lower lip trembling almost imperceptibly.
“Stop!” Henry shouts, his voice cracking. “I’ll give you whatever you want, I’ll do anything…just please, don’t hurt him.”
Alex’s eyes fly open, shooting Henry the same incredulous look that he gave him in the hallway, and Henry knows he’s shown too much of his hand, revealed a part of himself that he’d sworn he would take to his grave, but he’s too full of fear and desperation to feel self-conscious about it now. He can deal with the consequences when they get out of this.

Tim Laughlin stood in front of Hawk, one hand still raised as if to continue banging on the door, his tweed jacked dotted with snowflakes. Water droplets were trapped on his glasses, maybe from melted snow. But with how red-rimmed his eyes were, there might have been teardrops on his glasses as well.
Hawk’s slightly intoxicated reflexes took a moment to spring into action upon seeing Tim. “Skippy,” he grinned, “what, did you miss me that much? I’ll still be here after New Year’s."
Tim’s face screwed up in a look of righteous fury that Hawk knew meant an argument was coming. And before he could react, Tim was shoving Hawk backwards and into the apartment, slamming the door behind them.
“You absolute ass!”
