The Guardian had already scoped out Adrien Agreste and Marinette Dupain-Cheng, and they were perfect for the job. Before they leave, Fu tells the kwamis to find a lonely, golden-haired rich kid and a caring, blue-haired creative.
Soon after, a scowling, loudmouthed Chat Noire crashes into the scene with a Red Beetle that smiles calmly but whose eyes are narrowed with thinly veiled rage.

Summary
Chloe won. She used her powers as Miracle Queen to defeat the heroes, betray Hawkmoth, steal the Ladybug and Chat Noir Miraculouses, and rewrite reality with a Wish. All that remained was to live in the new world she created and enjoy the wonderful life she was sure she'd made for herself.
But Chloe soon realizes that her new world isn't what she'd expected. She'd Wished to have Marinette's life, but instead of being the city's beloved Ladybug, Chloe finds herself a shunned outcast whose father--now reduced to a common baker--no longer has the status to let Chloe get away with her petty cruelties. Chloe's school record is abysmal, she's on probation due to all her bullying, and she doesn't have a single friend. Worst of all, the Ladybug Miraculous has been taken up by someone else, leaving her with nothing.
Chloe resolves not to let this stand. She decides she'll fight to recover the Miraculouses and make a second, better Wish so she can build the world she feels she deserves. But this new world is far less forgiving than her old one, and as Chloe discovers, if she doesn't change for the better, her fate will be far worse than simply not getting what she wants.
In fact, she might not even survive.

Then she looked in the mirror.
Leather.
Chloé was wearing not only a full-body leather suit, but on top of that she wore leather gloves, boots and a belt. Leather-on-leather! An atrocity! Even worse, Chloé’s hair was pulled out of its neat ponytail, and had turned into a mess of curls. Chloé spent an hour every morning having her butler straighten her hair, she didn’t want it to revert to it’s natural curly state every time she transformed! The excessive leather did not even spare her head, giving her both leather ears and a leather mask that tinted her sclera blue.
If Chloé’s mother, the Queen of Fashion, ever saw this, Chloé knew exactly what she would say: “Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!”
So this is why superheros had secret identities.

Shigaraki didn't know why, but she filled him with drive. Ambition. A single goal in his mind, without direction, but with tenacity and determination.
