Look, the thing is Powell is used to garden gnomes being stolen, rebellious teenagers being caught with weed not a kid who looks like he’s lived through a horror film stumbling in to the local gas station. This is above his pay grade and he’s hoping it’s just some dumb kid who got high and lost in the woods.
- Robby is kidnapped and no-one notices. He can’t decide which hurts more.

Cole Hill is wracked with guilt from that night, the night he let his sister walk into the woods and never come out. His father blames him he knows, but between Victoria and his mother's terminal cancer his father's odd distance is the least of his concerns especially when bodies start turning up and the entity he sees might not be just in his nightmares.
Quinn Maybrook didn't want to move across the country to a small town but her mother and father insist this is a good thing, the fresh air and small town will be good for Mom's recovery and Dad's anxieties, so Quinn's making the best of a bad situation. The longer she stays in Kettle Springs and the closer she becomes with the locals the more she realizes something here is wrong and if she can't figure out a way to stop it, something in the woods will take them all, including her and her parents.

Disbelief surges within him and Jason rolls his eyes, scoffing as he leans back against the wall and tries not to show how much the throbbing in his leg is bothering him. It doesn't work, of course. You can't fool Batman.

When Superboy Prime messed with the timeline, he brought Jason Todd back to life by pulling one from another multiverse. One that wasn't supposed to die. “A bounty?” Ned chokes from behind, and Peter steps on his foot to quiet him.
“A big one at that. He’s willing to pay a pretty penny for your retrieval. Almost every crook in the city’s after you.”
Or, Toomes sets a bounty out for none other than Peter Parker. Every crook in the city competes to find the boy, but no one fights harder than Tony Stark.
