Donnie’s triumphant yells could be heard throughout the entire lair, excited chirps and chirrs loudly ringing through the halls coming from the genius's lab.
His three brothers could hear it all from their places in the kitchen, and while the commotion would usually warrant a reaction out of most people. The three brothers were entirely used to Donnie’s evil cackles when he finally figured out a problem on a particularly hard project.
What they were not used to, however, was all three of their phones buzzing with a notification.

Gill looks at Jay for confirmation. She's laughing so hard she has to hold on to the side.
"Push her in!" Chip shouts.
"Okay!" Gill's tail wags as he throws her into the water. Jay shrieks, landing with a loud splash.

Without thinking, he reaches out and grabs his dad’s hand to steady himself. Static sparks between them. The feathers on the Trickster’s gross fucked up wings stand on end. Ashe doesn’t let go.
Every limb feels as sturdy as paper. Including the wings. (He hates that he can feel them at all.)
