Bam, after struggling to reach the light that shined down into his cave, wakes up to find himself in an entirely new world. At first it was overwhelming and terrifying - he's never seen other people before, or seen blue skies, or felt the wind, or had a haircut - but when he meets a blue-haired boy who makes him feel safe, he feels like maybe this is a good thing after all.
Meanwhile, Khun is determined the climb the Tower and would do anything to achieve his goal, but a scrawny, dirty boy derails his perfectly laid-out plans. Of course it wasn't like Khun could just leave him there, so he takes the boy along and inadvertently begins caring for one of the strongest Irregulars to ever open the Tower's doors.

I present a story in which Karkat works at a restaurant where you're supposed to be rude to the customers. It's sort of the gimmick there. Normally he can handle what he's given at work and give it right back, but this just might be the straw that breaks the load. Little does our kitkat know that Dave can dish the shit better than anyone out there. Sarcastic adult boys will be sarcastic. I hope this will be as slow burning as I want it to be, but then again it probably won't.
Basically it's a rambling, never ending DaveKat roller coaster in which I pretend there's some real plot behind it all. It's a story where two boys fall in love and they just keep on living and loving together. That's it. That's the whole fic.Series
