Prologue: EXPLANATION

CH 2: BEAR. Gaara has always had this little bear with him. Now Gaara reflects on himself and his bear, his first friend, and his first human friend.
CH 3: CHAIN. Horror AU - Kakashi found himself chained up with no clue how he got there and no idea on how to get out.

Dystopian AU. In a time where mechanical modifications are a must and society’s crippling new addiction… The government has created the Shinobi Arena, where fighters fight for their chance at fame, to earn their modifications generally given by the government or to be punished for their illegal crimes or modifications given to them by parts off the black market.
Naruto knows the Arena is bullshit. He’s been here for years fighting for his life because of a lottery he never signed up for. He’s been modified against his will and taken off the streets then forced into this twisted, corrupted game. But he’s determined to escape one way or another and to save everyone he can. Let’s hope he doesn’t get caught with one of the worst modifications known: Energy Replacement, which is punishable by not even the toughest, highest Arena fights or even death, but more so with what the government would call Energy Realteration and Memory Categorization.
Oh and turns out there’s more than just his Arena at stake…
