Summary
By some magical accident, an older Merlin steps into Camelot, 10 years ago. Only now, he's buff and good with a sword, looks good in armour, is a fucking assassin, and claims to be Arthur's husband.

"The crest on it means you're a member of the royal family." said Leon, red-faced and about to burst a vein or two, making them all jump.
"Something like that." Merlin grinned.
"What?" Arthur choked out.
"Oh we're married. Did I forget to mention?" Merlin asked with an innocent tilt of his head
Or
"Relax, darling. I've been begging His Royal Prat-ness for a vacation for ages. I'm starting to think you actually want to see me on my hands and knees."
Arthur dropped his sword with a clang, felt the need to lie down for a while. Merlin laughed and took a hold of his bicep. "Come." He said. "I'm dying to see everyone."
And Arthur let himself be man-handled and dragged along like a boy toy. Because this was his life now.

Summary

Summary

The king turns then, finally looking at him properly. He blinks, brows furrowed in an innocent act of confusion, and Merlin’s heart tugs.
It’s been a while since he killed someone face-to-face like this, much less someone this breathtakingly beautiful—
“What are you…” Arthur frowns and takes a single step forward, then freezes.
Finally, he sees the dagger.

Merlin has been taking jobs for years. His magic comes in handy when tasked with making sure some spoiled fat heir disappears mysteriously enough that people assume he's eloped to leave his client the only remaining in line for whatever inheritance is at stake.
So, when his latest assignment challenges him to get rid of the King of Camelot himself, Merlin doesn't think it'll be any different.

Seizing his opportunity when Gwaine looked down to pull off his own boots, Merlin unsheathed a small blade, precise and deadly-sharp. Silently, as swiftly as the Hawk he was so often called, Merlin stepped close, did not do anything so foolish as to raise the knife, but aimed true for Gwaine’s ribcage. He struck once, with force enough to pierce a man’s heart.
It took Merlin a moment to realise what had happened, his body overtaken by intense sensation. It wasn’t quite pain, but it seared through him—radiating out from where Gwaine’s fingers were clamped around his wrist, stopping the knife a hair’s breadth from Gwaine’s unblemished skin. Gwaine’s index finger pressed against Merlin’s soulmark, and Merlin understood all at once.
He glanced at Gwaine's torso, a silvery-white outline just above his left nipple, pale against his tanned skin, the shape of it all too familiar. After all, Merlin saw it on his own body every day.

Summary
Camelot is a safe haven in a world ravaged beyond repair, governed by strict rules meant to ensure every piece and person contributes to the continued existence of humanity. According to the laws set by the immortal Triad ruling the city as a person without magic Arthur is a non-contributing piece, and if ever found out he’d be faced with either execution or exile. However, not all of the players on the city’s political stage agree with the laws, and both sides have people who are not afraid to dirty their – or at least someone else’s – hands. Merlin’s hands might be covered in more blood than he cares to remember, but he is no more than a pawn until he ends up in the same cell as Arthur, and together with him follows Morgana Pendragon into a war that they seem to lose before it even begins.
In the end their only chance is to find a way to kill the immortals – a way the immortal witch Nimueh claims she has.

Summary
Historical Albion AU.
