A contradictory mess of cynicism and idealism, Arcade just wants to help people. Courier Six seems to be his answer to properly helping the people of the Mojave Wasteland; an odd but charming delivery boy with his own set of problems, most of which stem from two bullet holes to the head.
POV Arcade during the events of Fallout: New Vegas. Explores the physical/mental effects of the Courier's brain injury, including seizures, headaches and retrograde memory loss. Very slow burn, lots of world-building and references to other games in the series (especially Fallout 2). Deals with mature themes present in the game/series overall, but chapters with heavy subject matter will be marked accordingly.
Gay people cannot just ask each other out, especially not in the Wasteland.

Summary
Upon seeing a dead man in Tesla power armor, Veronica tells her companions about the Enclave and just how horrible they were. Arcade looks disturbed, especially when she laments that she didn’t get to kill the Enclave soldier herself, but she’s sure he’ll get over it. Then they go to Novac and she overhears him talking with an old woman and everything she thought she knew about the doctor is turned on its head.

If Arcade wasn't mistaken, it seemed that Mister Vargas was eyeing him in the exact same regard. Watching. Waiting. Ah, the game. How Arcade loathed it. But he loved it too. The little dance men like them had to play just to spend a night together. Assuming that Manny was a man like him, of course. Which, if he was reading everything right, he should be. That, or they were both about to be very unlucky. Arcade smiled. Manny smiled back. All good signs.
‘Don’t fall in love, stupid’ said the voice in his head.

Summary
This is the fourth and final story dealing with the Fallout: New Vegas main game storyline in the What Happens in Freeside series.
This entire series grew out of someone on the Fallout Kinkmeme asking, after the original What Happens in Freeside story was posted to the meme, for a scene with Vulpes and Arcade eating fruit while having sex.
So I had to get them back together, and then get them somewhere that would have fruit and a bed. And give them at least somewhat believable motivations to have sex.
And that's how you get this series. Just an author floundering to find love and fruit in the Wasteland.
In other words, this is the logical continuation of their story.
Title means Vegas Will Be Free.
