This is sort of a repost of my work [The World Is A Heavy Weight To Bear Alone]. I was just very unhappy with the way the original work was going, and I hated re-reading it, so I’ve taken down the first copy and am reuploading a chapter at a time, hopefully improved!

Summary
Charles surrounds herself with pretty people. It’s not conscious, and it’s not even from a judgmental standpoint. It is largely because she is an athlete with majority athlete friends, so most of her friends are going to be, at the least, fit. Strength and athleticism aren’t the only qualifiers to beauty, obviously, but there is always beauty in strength and drive, which is what all of Charles’s friends have, men and women. It is a strategic move, because if Charles is just as pretty as everyone else in her circle, then the focus will be on her talent, on her brain, on her career, which is far more pleasant to talk about than her looks.
Esteban Ocon is not part of Charles’ circle for many reasons, but a big one, a main one, is that Esteban Ocon is not pretty. Esteban Ocon is fucking gorgeous, and there is a difference between the two, no matter how much everyone else wants to pretend there isn't.

charles leclerc aquires a child (oscar) and naturally goes to his long-term boyfriend Max Verstappen for help. max doesn't know how to deal with this knowledge as he doesn't have a child, and cats are not the same as children. charles is determined to keep and raise oscar as his child and does not listen to Max at all, Max slowly gives up because Oscar is cute and odd but it doesn't matter to the couple because over time they realise that Oscar is definatly staying. oscar is maybe austistic maybe just a bit odd - i dont know.
max uses daniel ricciardo as a father figure/ big brother because i hate Jos.

The man from before walking up to him seemed to be moving in slow motion. He pushed back his dark hair, hiding it under an Alpha Tauri branded hat while exposing his emerald eyes, glistening in the afternoon sun.
