I'm using 09 Ghost's background for reboot Ghost and I'm using the fanwiki for all my information, excuse me if I'm wrong.///I made up Ghost's age based on Price's (37) as well as Soap's (26) and Gaz's (26).///Yes, Shepherd is alive for the sake of this story, Price hasn't been pushed that far since no one knows whats going on/it hasn't been brought to light/Soap aint dead.///Adding Roach for some connection to 09 Ghost's backstory/to add more characters and he isn't dead in this at least.///Italics is Roach signing/writing/typing to communicate.

Soap's been dreaming of becoming a boxer since he was a teen, beginning when he saw an in-person fight between The "Ghost" and a rival opponent. Since then he's been working on himself, desperately wanting to become a boxer. A boxer like "Ghost".
But he was broke. Only having recently moved out of his mom's house, and was working a minimum wage job to get by. No money means no Coach, and no Coach means no career.
That is, until Soap spots a dark broad figured man in the gym he attends, going at it with a punching bag. His moves are sharp, clean, calculative, something of a caliber only someone with years of experience and a professionalism that was hard to obtain.
So of course, Soap approaches him.
" 'Ya owe me a spar,' Soap replied simply.
'Don't remember agreein' to that,' the man rumbled. "

She thought she had known the cold, a comforting presence, a steady friend, but what peels at her skin and roars in her ears is unlike any pain she has ever known. Her lungs ache with the desperation to fill and despite her attempts to clamp her teeth against the rushing water and stinging eyes, she finds she cannot avoid her most basic need. The fight eventually leaks from her cramping muscles, jaw unhinging in a mournful wail silenced by the rushing water and her lungs quickly fill.
Survival instinct is a terrible, deadly thing.

There is a running joke in the Wizarding World: that just about the only thing a Blackthorn didn't screw was a Centaur, which, if you saw a portrait of Great-Great-Great-Great Uncle Ó Broin, even that is called into question. In truth, a more accurate joke would include the impossibility of screwing a Ghost. At least, that much should be thoroughly outside of a Blackthorn's capabilities.

Lix is a war reporter. She wouldn't exactly mind working solo, but her boss insists that she is accompanied by a male photographer when going to the front lines. Lix wears them out pretty fast. She is herself, and that might be a bit much for some, so they rarely stick around for more than one mission. Until they team her up with a rather strange one. He is a bit young for the job, he is weird, he is obsessed in more than one way, and he is brilliant. By today's standards, we would recognize Randall as neurodivergent and suffering from OCD, but in the 1930's, nobody knows about that.
Originally a one shot, we meet our two heroes in medias res, but since I enhanced it, we will see a bit more about how their relationship develops during one of their first adventures.

And the way the thrust of his fingers stuttered before eventually calming down to a halt. When your muffled whimpers died down, you also began to hear Soap’s accelerated breathing and occasional grunts.
And soon his fingers slipped away, leaving you feeling oddly empty. Having gained your control back, you looked over at Soap.
