This managed to pull a sweet smile from Gwaine, who melted back into Merlin's waiting arms and kissed his temple in a hurry, before shoving a handful of strawberries into his lap and making a run for it.
Elyan wrestled a guard for his spear and hefted it over his shoulder.
"For Camelot" He screamed, then ran after the rascal.

“Girl.” He near enough whispered taking the back of Merlin’s wrist into his palm and drawing it up to meet his face. He inhaled, still with no exact location of the smell. Moving up Merlin’s arm across his face as the other looked on dumbly.
Reaching the pit of his elbow Arthur stilled, there is was, the fragrance laid upon Merlin’s inner forearm.
He pulled it gently closer, wanting a deeper inhale before confirming and reporting back to the other. He was indeed correct.The trouble was Arthur had regrettably misjudged the space between his own face and Merlin’s skin. Causing his slightly parted lips to brush ever so gently across Merlin’s forearm. Sending a jolt through both men at the feeling. Neither acknowledged the graze but they were effected by it nonetheless. Arthur’s heart rate sped as Merlin’s stopped completely. Four sets of blue eyes widened.
They were both too stubborn to speak. Meaning they sat in purgatory for quite some time, feeling neither comfortable nor uncomfortable. Something strange shifting inside of them as the sun began to set over Camelot.

Once there was nothing left for them to do, they made their way to the Disir’s cave once more. As they arrived, Merlin started fidgeting nervously. Arthur noticed but he needed to stay focused on how to say the right thing. He planted his sword into the ground and made his way inside, Merlin following suit.
“-Arthur Pendragon. You have returned with your decision?
-I have.
-Will you embrace the ways of the Old Religion, or will you seal your fate and follow the path of your father?”
The King took a deep breath, and shifted his feet. He could feel Merlin’s eyes practically burning a hole in his neck.
“I need to do what my heart tells me is right. I have decided to heed your warning and to learn to accept magic into Camelot."
OR
After Merlin accidentally reveals his magic to Arthur, the King of Camelot decides to reinstate magic back into the land. His relationship with Merlin is forever changed, and they grow even closer than they used to be. Will their love for each other be enough to beat the fates awaiting them?

“Well, this is the game. It is remarkably simple. You just have to steal Merlin’s neckerchief.” Immediately, complaints erupted from the knights.
“The neckerchief? He always wears it!”
“How are we supposed to steal it?”
“Merlin never takes it off for some reason — no way I’m going to risk my life and find out why!”
“Silence!” Arthur stared at the group, incredulous. “My knights, the most feared in the five realms, are terrified of my manservant?” They hung their heads in shame. “Even a squire probably could nick it off the idiot!”
“Is the squire still alive?” said a knight under his breath. Around him, his fellow brethren nodded their agreement, avoiding Arthur’s eye as he snorted.
“Merlin can be scary, Sire,” tried Lancelot. Arthur still looked like he seriously disagreed with the statement but after seeing the effect one pathetic coward had on a score of knights, he was forced to accept that yes, the Knights of Camelot feared Merlin the Buffoon.
Or 5 times Arthur gets blindsided by Merlin's ingenuity to stop the heists involving his neckerchief and 1 time Merlin gives up.

Another rendition of what should have happened after the gayest meeting of all time. This scene takes place after they (flirt) insult one another the second time. Instead of fighting in the middle of the square, Arthur drags Merlin into a convenient alleyway and they proceed to release some of that built-up tension. After making out Merlin pushes Arthur onto his knees, a move which the Prince finds very offensive (because obviously it should be the other way around).
And yet there's just something about Merlin he can't quite put his finger on... Then again, if a finger isn't working, why not try his mouth instead?

There's a new stranger in Camelot and while everything *seems* fine, Merlin can't shake the feeling that there is something deeply *wrong* with this boy. Even better, Gaius has taken in said stranger as his apprentice. Merlin has to get to the bottom of this and expose their secret.
