Maybe he’d trained Akutagawa-Kun better than he realised, because the boy had completely flipped the script and given Dazai a taste of his own medicine and the detective detested the taste. He could feel his own wretched jealousy burning and tearing at his insides. Akutagawa had used the only person that could get under Dazai’s skin and it had succeeded so beautifully he was almost proud.

The teasing didn’t come naturally? Yeah, Dazai was definitely sick. “You’re running a fever over fucking forty. I don’t have any meds here, but I can probably run to the convenience store,” Chuuya reasoned with himself, but it wasn’t like he was doing it for Dazai. It’s just that it’s probably easier to deal with an annoying mackerel than a sick mackerel. Both were annoying, but one required far more effort. “You shouldn’t be laying on the floor, anyway. I don’t want your grubby germs all over my carpet. At least get your ass over to the wood.”
“Noo..” Dazai whined, kicking his feet at Chuuya who was already trying to drag him away. Unfortunately, Chuuya was persistent and Dazai was sick, so one of them was now flat on the wood tiles and the other was grinning in triumph. “Chibi’s so mean to sick people..”
“I thought you said you weren’t sick?”
“I’m a hardened criminal. A pathological liar. A man of the mafia. What’d you expect,”

“Don’t try to make this ‘arrangement’ something that it isn’t, slug.” Dazai replies tiredly. “Our sex is great, we don’t need to complicate it.”

The Executive let out a bitter sigh as he hid the initial shock of the emotional blow, simply turning away from Dazai underneath the blue covers.
“...Yeah, you’re right.” Chuuya grits his teeth as he tightens his fists. “It’s just sex.”

And for once, Chuuya relented and let his emotions crumble down to dust in his crushed throat while he stayed umoving like a mess of red string. Dazai could spend hours mulling over the same problem with not a strand of hope that he'd ever be able to solve it. Chuuya thought this was stupid, why do something if you've already convinced yourself that you'll fail? Dazai didn't care about failing though, because ultimately the only form of success Dazai chased was purpose and there was no failing when it came to finding
purpose. There was only emptiness.

Summary
Monstrous cackling bubbled from within it, and tendrils of dark red, bordering black from every orifice crawled up its twisted limbs. Levitating above the city, its large bony wings tore out from its back.
From its crushed hands emerged masses of blackholes. The surrounding light and debris were drawn in, feeding the mass until it towered behind the five Port Mafia peaks like Yokohama’s blood moon. Blood oozed from cracks in the sky and pooled on the ground, casting the city in an eerie red glow.
A voice like it growled.

The first time Chuuya used Corruption, he was hopitalised for three days. Thankfully, Dazai's there to take care of him.
