Summary
In the middle of a war, people find hope in the holiday spirit.
Lance has been looking forward to seeing his family again for Winterellia, the one day in the year where even the Galra aren't being conquerors of the continent. It's when he returns home to the mer kingdom that he realizes his teammates aren't spending the holidays surrounded by family as they should be.
He decides to fix that by venturing to all his friends' homelands for the holiday.
And, well, they'll squeeze in a few adventures along the way. They wouldn't be Voltron otherwise!

Keith didn’t know how long he stayed there, the only living thing among a hoard of corpses, but he had no drive to leave. After all, Lance was dead. So why was he still alive?
“Such a tragedy.” A foreign voice sliced through the silence.
“Do you want to die too?” Keith asked, his voice no more than a hoarse whisper.

So there’s no real choice when Keith spots one of the containers of quintessence left unguarded in the midst of another scuffle between the paladins and the sentries. Gathering the energy he has left, he throws himself toward the quintessence.
There’s no time to think about it. He cups his hand and brings a handful to his mouth, trying to swallow about as much as he thinks he’s been taking in the lab, conscious of the very real possibility that there must be an amount that could lead to an overdose.
The effect is immediate, even faster than he remembers, and the corresponding crash is something he can worry about later.
