Tommy peers at the thing in Dream's hand and his heart drops to his feet. It's his compass, a bit battered from where Dream had destroyed the chests but still shining a stubborn silver in the torchlight. He can't see the engraved Your Tubbo from here, the text tucked under Dream's thumb - and Ghostbur had had to point it out to him in the first place, so when Dream flips it over and studies the back Tommy holds his breath and forces himself to do nothing.
"Tommy," Dream says, finally looking up at him. He doesn't seem to have seen the engraving but he holds the compass in the air, expectant. "What's this?"
His mind races.

Benchtrio supermarket AU as promised.
"RANBOO! Are you talking to the meats again? Whatever... Anyways, the inspector is coming today." Tommy rambles on nervously, panting a bit from literally running halfway across the store.
Ranboo just rolls his eyes, then the words seem to register, "The WHO? What, today? Really?"
See, the thing about the store is that it isn't the best. It's gross and weird, but they all desperately need money, and this job is how they get that so... Their manager, Phil, doesn't seem to care what they do, so the three of them have taken to certain jobs. Ranboo particularly enjoys stocking the shelves, Tommy manages the registers, and Tubbo cleans up. That's just how it is for them most of the time. But they've recently gotten a rush as Christmas is soon, so all three of them have had to man the register and both other tasks have been unfinished.
They manage to go to Philza, while the guy is literally already in the store.
