Startled, Wilbur opened his eyes to find two creatures crouched before him.
They were eerie things, ever-changing; he tried to move, but found himself frozen, stuck like stone before their otherworldly gaze. Their eyes, voidlike in appearance, void of anything and yet holding universes, pulled him towards them, mind stretching far, far away.
“Go back to sleep, little being,” the bird-things crooned, necks craning down to his own, stars and galaxies and life bursting into existence within the dark enclosures of their eyes, and all Wilbur knew was darkness.

"...Do you have a name?" Wilbur asked.
It paused, face screwing up in concentration at his words.
"...Big... Big Tahm-ee," it settled on. Then it frowned, shaking its head no. "Big.. Tom-e! Tommy!"
Wilbur's eyebrows shot up in disbelief. He'd been expecting something unpronounceable, a swirl of clicks and caws. No, this red fluffy child was just Tommy.
"Hi Tommy," Wilbur whispered, a small smile teasing at the edge of his lips. "I'm Wilbur."

Tommy shrugs. “We can keep it if we don't tell dad."

“Why would you be a fan of a supervillain? That's not normal.”

At least, he wasn't the one to let go first. Because he still looks up to Techno, he still admires him as if he was a little kid, he still sits by the door and waits and aches and yearns. He still stares at the fireplace, and the crackling of flames would be ever-so familiar to him. The asphalt, and the Nether, and the warmth of the cloak that wrapped around his shoulders and draped until his feet. He'll rather kill himself than admit that he misses his brother like the sky would miss the stars if they all crashed down on Earth.
He looks back at everything bygone, they had never meant to carve permanent scars into each other’s soul. They had hurt each other, and that's what ended this whole fiasco, that's when the story ended even if he didn't want it to.
Is this where he draws the line?
Is this where he stops yearning?
It's either this or Logstedshire.

Technoblade was one of the few drivers that got a guaranteed home Grand Prix each year, and yet six years later, he still hadn’t won it.
That wasn’t for lack of trying. He had podiumed at Silverstone, Canada, Monaco, Spa, and circuits that weren’t even on the calendar anymore. Techno had even sprayed the champagne down onto his team from the top step of Monza, their home track last season.
Techno knew how to drive, and he had a car that worked with him. But still, he had failed to win a single race in the States. This year he had three chances, which there was grumbling on the track for, but he ignored it.
This year he was going to break the curse.

Sometimes, the love he has doesn't get returned. Or worse, it gets denied. And that's pretty understandable.
Wilbur is a great singer, and his charisma shines through the roof. He plays the guitar well, and he has plenty of friends to listen to his music.
Tommy is...well, Tommy is Tommy. His sunshine little brother. Courageous and extroverted and endearing. His literal complete opposite.
Don't get him wrong, Techno loves his brothers very much.
He's just not quite sure if they feel the same.

“Can you tell me what happened at the fifth race of the past season?” Kristin asked. “What happened at the Italian Grand Prix?”
Phil slowly shook his head as the fear and panic of those precious moments tried to claw their way back into his mind. “We, as a sport and as a team that considers itself a family, almost lost one of the most talented and supportive drivers on the circuit.”
