Summary
Tav's murderous Urges are no secret, but the root causes of it are. Talula, a wizard whose magic has grown rusty after years of ordinary life, is the only one infected with an alien larva set to overwrite her mind and body in the next few days. With little support besides that of a single companion, she leans on her analytical mind to discover a cure, but her every well-considered decision ends in a new disaster. Developing a dependency on the infection, she trades her human shape for something unreal, eventually growing emotionally attached to a monstrous entity in the process.By the way, she harboured a unique aversion to tentacles, which irritated me — tentacles are objectively useful: dexterous, sensitive, multifunctional.

Fandom-blind friendly, but contains spoilers the way tea contains liquid. If not for the headcanons and alternative companions, it might count as a novelization of the main quest and the Emperor’s side quests. Summary
A Rashemaar Monk of Four Elements, a Baldurian Artificer and a Githyanki Paladin are dragged into an illithid nautiloid and implanted with mind flayer tadpoles.
It's not a beginning of a joke, but of a multi-chapter fic where characters based on the cast of LoK go through events similar (but not identical!) to those from Baldur's Gate 3. The further we go, the more I'll be diverging from both canons. In their quest to free themselves of the parasite our protagonists will meet other characters and face a conspiracy intending to change... everything.

Summary
Wherein the Dark Urge discovers the truth behind her memory loss, goes on a journey of self discovery that ends up being more of a trail of corpses, and decides to take over the world.
Everything can be read as a standalone, and everything is in chronological order.
Where to start reading:
1: Pre-canon Dark Urge. One-shots prior to the longfics are pre-tadpole and pre-canon stories. Expect the usual atrocities.2: Ruin's tale: The two longfics (and the short) are an arc with a 1st POV of post-tadpole Dark Urge. Begin with Under the Black Hand, which is an Act 3 revision (starts off where you think, does not end where you think) and is the only story taking place during the events of the game. Closing the Fist picks up one month post-canon (how actually will you take over the world? it's complicated). The one-shot is meant to be read after Closing the Fist.
3: Gortash's tale: POV third, picking up on trauma from House of Hope and continues the post-canon journey, starts with Down Comes the Claw.
4: Multi-POV (Minthara/Ruin/others): Alternating POV 1st and third, The Grip of Steel starts 1 year post-game. This longfic will bring this tale to its finale.
