They had stopped their regular training with Ozpin and everybody else some time earlier, but Ruby had still wanted to keep going for a little longer.
And while she was tired, especially considering how she had been cooped at Schnee Manor for such a long time, Weiss had decided to stay behind as well. Not to necessarily continue to train but to at least stay with her partner, so she wouldn’t be alone.

All the members of team RWBY are on the move, each with their own set of goals and challenges. Events will bring them back together in Mistral, but what awaits each of them might be more than they are ready to face. Team RWBY have yet to learn that convergence is rarely harmonious, and time can be the enemy of relationships.
** This is the sequel to the Volume 4 RWBY fanfiction, "Recovery."
