Legend wouldn’t lose them like others might as he understood the pain of trying to track them back down as well as just how much damage the two of them could cause. Individually they could be difficult, but together? It was if they both fed off the other’s curious energy, running off at the first sight of anything that moved or sparkled. Twilight knew this, but more than that Legend did. Wild would be perfectly fine with him.
Except he wasn’t with Legend.
Because Legend was currently walking alone through the crowd on the opposite side of the market.

Summary
Sky feels guilty. Ever since the end of his adventure, he had known he had fucked up. But it was only after he had met his future reincarnations that he realized just how much he had failed. Even so, he does his best to enjoy his new friends' company, knowing that it can't last forever. Not after they figure out what he's done.
Wild is scared. He will never admit it, but he is the most terrified of his new friends - his new brothers - learning just how badly he failed. He is scared of them all learning how he died and left his best friend and his world to fend for themselves. He is scared of being shunned, of being thought of as any less of a hero than everyone else is.
And unbeknownst to our heroes, a darkness lurks, its millennia-old bitterness festering for just a little more, but they're patient. They can wait for the opportune moment where just one light push will make it all worth it. It has been ready for this moment for a long, long time. There is someone who wronged them, sent them spiraling into the most hellish existence possible.
They are going the watch the Chosen Hero of Hylia break, and they'll be wearing a smile.

Four days have passed since Wild woke up on the Great Sky Island with only a modified arm and its strange new abilities. No armor. No inventory. And no Zelda.
