Summary
Follow the tale of Sonic the Hedgehog, a member of the Chaotix Detective Agency who are investigating the mysterious Dr. Eggman during the distant future in a time of superstition and magic to figure out Eggman's plans. While exploring the jungle outside the city walls, Sonic befriends the rough and tough echidna, Knuckles Rose, the sweet natured hedgehog, Amy Rose, the intelligent and kind two-tailed fox, Miles 'Tails' Prower, and the elegant and sassy bat, Rouge the Bat, members of a mysterious tribe rumored to have wolf-like traits and the mobian males turning into wolf-like beasts by night.
As they search for Knuckles and Amy's missing father as well as try and uncover the truth of Eggman's investigation of the jungle, Sonic uncovers a secret that draws him further into the enchanted world of the Wilderwalkers and risks turning into the very thing Eggman is bent on destroying. -

Set ten years in the future of the IDW comic series, an 18 year old Tails is essential in stopping Dr.Eggman's latest world conquering scheme. Securing victory for the Restoration, he searches the wrecked remains of the mad doctors airship with Amy Rose and discovers a device he had never seen before, it becoming the catalyst to changing his life forever. The Chaos Ring.
Come watch as Tails gets involved in one misadventure after another, power up the new accessory on his wrist like he is in the middle of an RPG, add more girls to his growing harem, as well as battle against evil forces that threaten the peace on Mobius they have fought so hard to attain. He will meet new friends, such as characters from the Archie comics revitalised in a Sonic Game/Sonic IDW setting, but also make many enemies and new connections.
Hopefully, one day, Tails will be able to free himself of the Chaos Ring, and the threat it poses him and his friends...but will he still be the same fox when that day comes?

Summary
The Robotnik Empire, seemingly badly affected by their latest defeat via the demise of Infinite, was surprisingly late to the current conflict. Because of this, Dr Robotnik and the rest seem to be unaware of the Black Arms' return, believing that the Doctor's confrontation with Shadow some time ago was simply Shadow being rogue as they had been assumed to be for the last couple of years. This leaves a perfect opening for the members of the Empire to be distracted from their forces, specifically, one member by the name of Mimic Octa. Mimic, having previously been allies with Whisper before he joined the Empire, has a connection to the wisps that were in her possession, so it's no surprise that when he sees one of the said wisps out his window, and finds a letter seemingly from Whisper inviting him to come retrieve the wisps, he decides to take up the offer. But, of course, ignorance is bliss… until it's not.
