Musashi turned her head, listening as all these enemies were given names. These were what humanity needed to be protected from. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 were the new abyssals.
She stretched her hands, flexing her fingers. It all made sense now. These foes were enemies that she could never fight as a ship. Just as her guns gave her an advantage when destroying abyssals, in this new form, she could bring the fight to enemies she could never properly defeat as a vessel. This was not a downgrade, not a reduction or loss. It was simply a new set of tools for a new set of problems.
She gave a single laugh, a high pitched sound. It was such a simple and sudden noise that everybody in the room instantly quieted, including her.
"Why, exactly, did you ask that question?" Yamato said.
"The abyss may be defeated." Musashi wondered if this is what it was like to go mad, her smile stretching her face in two. "I need to decide what's next."
