“If anyone should stay here, it should be Mike, " Will said, and his voice cracked on that last word, on Mike's name. His eye finally started to moisten and his voice grew thick with tears.
“It is very clear that Henry wants the Wheeler's dead,” Will continued, his tone harsh but shaking, his still glistening.
Will's voice finally lost its control, the shakiness of tears breaking through every word that came next; “I will not allow Mike to go running into a war where the guns are aimed at him!” and his eye finally released those tears onto his cheeks.
“Will-” Mike said softly, taking a step forward.
And then the door opened.

“As if you know who I am. Better than I do. And you don't care that I'm a Jinx.”

Ekko travels back from the alternative timeline and goes to save Jinx, but when turning back time to save her from falling he travels further back than expected. Back in the past, before the attack on the bridge, Ekko attempts to alter the course of time. But will he ever get to live the life he gave away to return?
Time travel fic. I was surprised there weren't more of these so I wrote my own.

Then what does happen when the party stops?
Ekko/Jinx romance ultimately, but starts with them just as firmly against each other as in the show. Jinx gets a non-serious boyfriend in Chuck (the bartender from Arcane). Created from the sheer curiosity of using canon elements to see where the story ended up when the biggest change in the story does not happen.
