Summary
From the moment their mother died, Sam and Dean’s world changed. And not in the “we just lost someone we really loved and it’s gonna hurt forever” kind of changed. But their “entire world flipped on its axis” kind of changed. Nothing would ever be “normal” again. They would become reluctant heroes. They would save the world and then some. And in the end, no one would really know.
However, on that same night, a connection formed between the brothers. A connection that can never be broken. Not by them and not by anyone or anything else, no matter how many times or how hard it’s been tried. It keeps them alive, it keeps them sane, it gives them what they need, when they need it, without question. This connection makes sure that they will never be alone, that they will always have each other.
And now, this connection seems to be morphing and changing their relationship, again. Will they be able to seize what it’s offering? Will Dean finally be able to accept some happiness for himself? Because that’s what this connection is offering them now. Will they step up? Can they be all in? Or is it just too far for them, for Dean, to reach?

Jensen Ackles was good at his job. He got things done that other agents couldn't, always put the job first, and when his boss tasked him with selling off the snowy little Pine Grove Inn? He knew he had it in the bag. It was beautiful, set back in the snow covered pines, perfect for a warm-winter getaway, and an easy sell. The townspeople thought it was haunted, but he knew there was no such things as ghosts. Then... he met Jared.
Jared Padalecki, the young, attractive rum runner who died in the Prohibition Era, was not interested in seeing his inn sold. He didn't want Jensen's presence and did his best to make sure everyone who came into his estate knew they weren't welcome and it wasn't for sale. But Jared wasn't at peace, not truly. And the only person who could help him rest was the one person who was disturbing it.
Their only solution was to work together and maybe, just maybe, the magic of Christmastime would help them both.
