All Henry wanted to do was sleep in on Sunday.
Apparently, finding his sons, defeating his complete jerk-face of a dad, and possibly saving the world from eternal damnation wasn’t enough for the universe. No, even after all that he wasn’t allowed to catch a break.
Some voice in his head that sounded a lot like Well, Actually was telling him that he probably should’ve remembered and was in fact a fool for not thinking about it sooner.
What was ‘it’? What was the big gosh darn reason Henry Oak was being dragged from the warmth and comfort of his bed to face a freaking blizzard outside?
Why, to go to church with Darryl Wilson, of course.

Henry shakes his head, his hands fluttering at his side before he balls them into fists.“I- look, I’ve never had meat, and I’m not going to change that now, I am in control of myself, I can deal with this, I’m not going to eat people to survive.”
Darryl looks at Henry, the way his jaw is set and he isn’t able to meet Darryl’s eyes, the lankness in his hair and the way his bones are beginning to show against his skin. He half remembers something Henry had rambled about before, one of the times he was trying to get Darryl to try a tofu burger after a soccer match. “You don’t eat meat because the animals don’t say you can, right?”
“I mean, it’s a lot more complicated with that, and the factory farm system is awful, but part of it is that, yes, I don’t see why I should get to kill something just because I’m hungry, I’m just another animal in the ecosystem, and I’m not going to just start biting people and draining them either.”
“What if I say you can, though?”

"I, uh," Hermie said apprehensively. "I was actually wondering, Normal, if I could spend the night? You've had a... an evening and I imagine I wouldn't want to spend the rest of it alone after that."
"You don't have to, Hermie," the mascot said quietly, pulling at the hem of his tux jacket
"I know."
OR
After the dance, Hermie doesn't want to leave Normal alone, so he spends the night. Wholesome bonding ensues.

Word got around that Izzy Hands was a devil in human flesh, beholden to no one but Blackbeard and wild in all the right ways. Stomach like a tempered cutlass, they said. He never chucked up after a particularly bloody raid. Never did more than grimace at the mold covering their stores. Never even drank himself to oblivion, the one time when all men - even Blackbeard's men - could be human for a bit. It weren't natural, or so they said, and Izzy seethed with something like happiness when he realized that he was the only one who could do everything their captain required.

Summary
Lone Astronaut and Engineer Waylon Park sets out on a solo mission to repair several damaged satellites around earth's orbit. Upgrading, repairing and exchanging parts so they continue to broadcast signal around the globe. This being his second trip on a mission like this with his aim being to finish his task within a month's time and hitch a ride back to earth when the next crew from the ISS makes their return trip home. Easy enough until a week into his mission and his radar fails to notify him of the asteroids flying right into his path, colliding with his ship and leaving him stranded and drifting aimlessly.
A friendly face comes to his rescue but the stranger is unusual and unlike anyone on the ISS crew. Like Waylon he is also alone but his mission is unclear. The Astronaut is unaware of the dangers that this stranger brings with his presence or the secrets that will be discovered involving him and the rest of humanities fate.
