Stories and legends were certainly not a rare thing to find within the society of the walls. Scary tales, especially of monsters, were among the many things children had taken a liking of. Playing all across their towns, they sometimes spooked their friends with those frightening, sometimes nightmare inducing stories. A cheap way for parents to behave their children was to scare them with those monsters of fiction.
‘Don’t come home late! Or the boogeyman will get you!’ was always effective. ‘Don’t stray too far at night! Or the Ghouls will eat you!’ was something less preferred.

Summary

When everything he's come to know at this point takes an unexpected turn, bonds are tested and changed in never before imagined ways as Adrien searches for the right thing to do, and learns to accept himself in the process.
