When Wolfram and Hart had folded up like a cheap Chinese fan - Angel was not supposed to win - things had gone from bad to...pear-shaped. A post-everything fic, wherein Spike is the Council's 'cleaner' and Xander disappears somewhere in Vietnam, only to re-emerge without his memories and with a nasty connection to a Slayer-killing demon.
Title is from 'Titus Andronicus' - slightly incorrect.

Steve freed Bucky from the reinvigorated Initiative about ten years ago, and Bucky has been patrolling the Cleveland Hellmouth to atone for the Asset's wetwork ever since. It's good work if you can find it, a comfortable house, plenty of ethically sourced blood, electricity, running water, and he doesn't have to deal with more than the occasional Watcher and Slayer passing through. Until now. He doesn't want or need to work with a Watcher, but he's getting one. And anyway, it was time for Hawkeye to make himself scarce in New York. Somehow, Steve is convinced all of this is a good idea.

Summary
After winding up in hot water with the Ukrainian mob, Clint finds himself relocating to a small town in northern Indiana to work as an elementary school gym teacher, and finds his new home invaded by a series of suspiciously wolfish puppies determined to be Lucky's BFFs, and his life invaded by over zealously friendly neighbors determined to feed him. In a startling twist of events, three of his favorite students happen to be his next door neighbors, along with their ruinously hot single dad Bucky, who proves to be just as enamored of Clint as he is of Bucky.
What follows is a classic rendition of thirsting over the hot neighbor, bizarre small-town behavior, and so many puppies.

Your first name is also a vegetable, so I’m guessing your parents were either hippies or super rich. You like to hit poor, defenseless guys, and your suit is very much a last season kind of thing. That about cover it?”
Montague looks a little nonplussed at this. Behind him, Barnes’s shoulders are shaking with muffled laughter. Clint stifles his own grin and waits for an answer.
After a moment, Montague pinches the bridge of his nose and says, “This is going to be a long night, isn’t it?”

Following the events of CA:TWS, the Winter Soldier finds Hawkeye. Clint is still haunted by his own experiences with having his control stripped away, but together they find a way to heal.

“How did you even … how are you tracking me?” Clint tries.
The question seems to confuse Barnes even further. He looks at Clint, and then somewhere behind Clint’s shoulder, and then back to Clint’s eyes.
“I don’t know,” Barnes says again.
“Listen,” Clint says, taking a step forward, and Barnes flinches back instinctively, stumbling for a moment.
“Whoa,” Clint says. Before he knows it he’s sheathing the knife and grabbing Barnes’ arm, steadying him. Barnes blinks rapidly a few times, wobbling a bit before he seems to find his balance again. His slate-blue gaze, so intent a moment ago, seems a little unfocused.
“When’s the last time you ate? Drank something? Slept?”
“I don’t know,” Barnes says, Clint mouthing the lines along with him.
Christ, Nat is going to kill him when she finds out about this, but there’s nothing else Clint can do.
“Well, c’mon in the house. We’ll get this figured out.”

Barnes snorts. “Having a drink,” he says, then gives Clint another one of those appraising looks. “You a professional?” he says, after a second, and Clint is momentarily confused.
A professional what?
And then he realizes Barnes must be talking about pool, and Clint huffs a laugh. “Only when there’s money involved,” he says, smirking, and Barnes kind of nods, like that makes any sort of sense.
Then Barnes nods again, a little more firmly, and says “You got a place?”
Which is about the point that Clint realizes that he’s not meeting the Winter Soldier in a bar, he’s being picked up by the Winter Soldier in a bar and-
“Yeah,” he croaks, clears his throat, thinks wildly that he’s really fucking glad Kate has Lucky for a few days, and says “Yeah, I got a place.”
Or, how Bucky got his groove back.
(And Clint too, but it was a different sort of groove)

Hobbs didn't think it was a problem that Deckard Shaw had been hit by a witch-curse. That sort of shit happened to everyone. The actual problem was that the curse hadn't been meant for Deckard Shaw at all—it was meant for Owen Shaw, and that was when big brother Deck got slapped with a two-for-one, big-fucking-deal, problematic problem.
Because Owen Shaw didn't do things by half-measures, and neither did the people trying to curse him.
