"HERMIT HARBOUR'S MERMIN: A RESEARCHER'S STUDY INTO THE CURIOUS CASE OF MOON GLOWING SEA CREATURES.
Mermin, first of all, is extremely old, now obsolete terminology for creatures currently called merfolk (inclusive of mermaids and mermen).
It is specifically used for the half fish, half human looking creature that uses their singing as bait.On this coast, the term has survived the years.
It is, in fact, still used by the paranoid people of Hermit Harbour to refer to this specific myth of theirs.
Although they never as much utter a word about the beings, it is the most notable myth in town.
One of the many, sitting comfortably next to the ghostly spectres of The Choir, their walking trees and talking birds.On oneself's experience, here's my account of what this tale entails."

Summary
This story starts right after chapter 15 of Double Hearted by Kitsuneisi on Tumblr.
After Grian is released from the hospital things aren't the same between Hotguy and Cuteguy. Hotguy trying to make up for his mistakes leads to an unexpected discovery that could change the lives of mutants everywhere, and changes his relationships with Grian and Cuteguy. They grow closer as the world around them changes.
Or
After Hotguy grows closer to Grian he impulsively cuts ties with the Emerald City without thinking about the consequences. When the same person that attacked the university returns things spiral even farther out of control. Then Grian accidentally starts a revolution.

The sound of rockets is fairly common at The Frozen Citadel, as Hermits swing by frequently to play Decked out 2. However, fireworks themselves are not so common. So when Tango hears them clearly from the belly of his creation, the blaze investigates.
OR
Tango finds Grian crash landed after trying to use fireworks mid flight. They get a laugh, and kisses are shared before cuddling inside.

I used a spinning wheel to select characters and a one sentence story starter to create short 1,000-3,000 word fics for whatever pairing it gave me. Each character will appear only once as a main pairing, hence the "Volume One", but they could pop up as a side character at any time.

"The Weakest Link | Secret Life" is where the main story officially starts (where Hermitcraft & Life Series collide) with every previous season being prequels, so you don't need to read the previous season short stories to understand it.
