Those are some of the first words Ajax, starving college student extraordinaire, has the misfortune of hearing upon waking up in a brave new world from what he's fairly sure is a very fatal accident involving water and a shit ton of electricity.
Okay, so he's not dead. That's good. But what's this about him being stuck playing the character Tartaglia? Tartaglia, as in the no-good, one-dimensional, cartoonish villain who met his untimely, gruesome death in the first act of the original game?
Forget this. Like hell Ajax is going to share that fate.
And so begins one man's journey to save himself from his awful destiny.

Tubbo's body trembled, possibly from the cold, possibly from the fear, possibly from the possibility of freedom, of flight, that lay before him...Tubbo's first birthday without Tommy could also be his last.
Tubbo stood, walking towards the edge of the cliff, heaving his leg over the fence so that he stood past the fence so that if he ever decided to jump, there wouldn't be a piece of wood blocking him from doing that.
Now that he thought about it, dying here would be poetic. Dying on the day he turned seventeen. Dying where he had felt the most joy, the most warmth. Dying the same way Tommy did. Dying to join Tommy up there in the skies, the two of them, together, forever.
A soulmate is meant to accompany them for life. But when they are torn apart, both begin to break. One in particular breaks more.

Tommy bit the inside of his cheek. “If you were solely in charge of imprisoning the most dangerous man in the country, what would you do?”
Sam’s smile slid off of his face, and his brows scrunched up in concentration. “That’s a hard one,” he admitted. “I’d probably do everything within my power to make sure he didn’t escape. If he’s the most dangerous.”
“Yeah,” Tommy said hollowly. “I guess you would.”

After a minute or so of this person staring at the medicine while Tubbo stared at them, he starts to get a bit bored. So, he clears his throat, and says in a conversational voice, “They sell pretty damn good Tylenol here, don’t they?”
They jump, clearly taken aback by Tubbo’s appearance. They blink at him once before nodding slowly, clearing their throat.
“Isn’t, uh, most Tylenol the- the same everywhere?”

Tubbo is an accidental part of a kind-of family, worn tennis shoes firmly planted on the sidelines as a ticking time clock mocks the day his stolen life will crumble, shoved under the floorboards of his best friend's attic. In the waiting process, he meets a seventeen year old severely lacking in both memory and effective hair dye, who defines himself as the spaces between notebook pages and part-time jobs.
Like this, Tubbo meets Ranboo, who, despite everything, may be Tubbo's most worthwhile pit stop in his journey to survival yet.
(Or, a high school AU in which finding home and staying afloat are two tasks you can't shoulder at once, but there are other people who will carry the world with you, if you can muster the bitter task of giving it up first.)

Summary
Tommy was just trying to get away from the vanguard of murder robots. He did not mean to fall from the sky and break most of his equipment (including his bones). And now he's been kidnapped/adopted by a beanpole, a wingman, and a pig. Help.
Phil and Ranboo are just chillin' in Techno's house when a tiny feral version of Tommy falls from the sky. Which shouldn't be possible because, according to Ranboo, Tommy died in prison. He's got weird armor, weirder weapons, he just tried to stab Phil, and- oh, okay, he blasted a hole in the wall. Lovely.
None of these people know what they're doing, and the child just brings more angst, fluff, and shenanigans than anyone thinks is possible while also kickstarting a mass emotional healing arc that no one knew they needed.

"Come on now." Wilbur said, holding a hand up to his chest. "I'm a changed man! And besides, I wouldn't create an empire, just a country will do." He gestured to the very tall buildings that surrounded them. "Obviously this server is very advanced already, I don't think I could create an empire with such competition."
The sound of beating wings filled the alleyway and a stranger called out. "Hello citizens! Are you lost?"
They had a drawling tone and as Ranboo turned he found himself looking at two people, one with short blond hair and large, bright red wings and the other held in the speakers grasp with the head of a bird and black feathers, but no wings. Father and child maybe?
"I'm Hawks." The speaker said.

“Tell me how the afterlife is for me okay, Tommy?” Dream says, delivering one final punch right into Tommy’s skull. He falls on the cold obsidian floor, his body landing like a thrown away ragdoll, sadly laying on the ground, abandoned. He can’t keep his eyes open, everything is blurry, the ringing in his ears won’t stop, and the pain won’t go away.
The last thing he sees before everything goes dark is Dream’s right eye, wide and filled with psychotic joy. The one thing visible behind Dream’s broken mask. He can imagine Dream smiling behind it.
So this is what it’s like to die, Tommy thinks before he can think no longer.

Summary
A strip of houses in the middle of Japan appear out of nowhere- along with eight people, but it seems none of the citizens had noticed. Every house is different and there are more without people at all.
Tommy, Ranboo, Tubbo, Puffy, Philza, Techno, Dream and George all woke up in the houses after seeing a terrifying figure the night before. Their technology is more advanced, their families seem to have been left behind, and powers from what used to be only roleplays have attached themselves to the streamers.
Now to figure out how to get home, where only one person seems to remember them.

Next time he came to things were better but not by much and he faded on the edge of passing out again until the world finally came back into focus. Blinking slowly, he slowly registered that he was cold and something smelled absolutely horrible next to him.
