ONI and UNSC HighCom had thought it was some sort of Flood mutation. Or something Flood-like. But they had assumed wrong. It hadn't resisted capture as much as was predicted. It was still a humanoid. It spoke and thought freely. It was more of a he, and he preferred to be called Alex Mercer. This is what caught Doctor Halsey's attention. He was alive, he wasn't human, she wanted to understand someone like that while ONI wanted to use him as a weapon. So a deal was struck.
Under the vigilant guard of the Master Chief, Halsey would get to interview Alex Mercer, to really understand just how someone like him operates on a psychological level. And, in exchange, ONI would get to keep an eye on something they considered dangerous, and use the information gathered as they saw fit.

By some… freak chain connection, when Raccoon City Syndrome woke up after 28 years, the other viruses that Leon Kennedy's had over the years are awake now too… including one shape-shifting BOW parasite that infected Leon exploring the ocean cruiser—The Starlight, which suddenly allows him to access other virus and parasite based abilities(and is suddenly willing to help him)… while his T-Virus infection still accelerates through his body.
Now with Leon more virus than man, and a young FBI analyst kidnapped into the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center, what's a DSO agent to do when you're a floating petri dish, a monster?
Help. However he can. But there's questions and consequences to be had when a well-meaning parasite rears its head alongside Raccoon City Syndrome...
Or: Author smashed together ideas from all the viruses that Leon's been infected with, took a dash of inspiration from other Infected!Leon AUs, Venom, RE: Gaiden(and made it her own canon, so I'm doing my own thing with it), and Baoh the Visitor by Hirohiko Araki, and rolled it all into another self-indulgent AU. This is my version of the Infected!Leon AU.

A few months after the outbreak, and all of Blackwatch's dirty laundry was leaked onto the internet. As a result of the public outcry, the SHIELD was given jurisdiction over the rebuilding efforts of NYC, and the Avengers were to act as the face of their operations, to get the government out of the PR lime pit Blackwatch had thrown them into.
Obviously, they had to secure the leaker, one Dana Mercer, before Blackwatch could get to her, since it was obvious she knew more than just what was leaked onto the internet. What they didn't expect to find hiding alongside her was her brother, Alex Mercer...or so he appeared to be.

“Who’s William…?” Max handed the file off, following her Mother over to that old armchair. Susan sat down, crossing her legs and quickly flicking the file open. Her glasses perched back on her nose as she scanned the first few documents. “Mom? Does Neil have like, another kid or something?” Susan shook her head, flipping a page over and reading the next.
“Well, this changes things.”

Summary
Delta’s first assignment was to assist Freelancer’s scientists in developing a Neural Implant safe for agent usage. It was there, he was paired with a volunteer by the designation Agent California to test a prototype. When it was decided to be too dangerous for general use, they scrapped the blueprints and moved on.
Many years later, he comes in contact with a Blue Sim soldier by the name Michael J. Caboose who has that very same prototype and a mind broken from its use. This time, Delta, for no rational reason he can come up with, refuses to be taken away a second time.
Or Delta escapes capture to stay with (past Freelancer) Caboose and has to deal with the many consequences that come after.

Michael J. Caboose has always seen his world in color and fractals. His friends, through interacting with said soldier, soon see him through brand new lenses. It's just a shame that some things they see aren't too nice, but with Caboose, they quickly learn that all you need is your connections with people to survive the worst of situations.
After all, nobody could ever guess how much pain a person can experience and still come out smiling on the other end, until they tell you. And Caboose doesn't know when to shut the hell up.

Piers had cut his teeth with the BSAA in the aftermath of the Blacklight outbreak in Manhattan. He'd seen ZEUS himself a couple of times too, usually when he was bringing down hives. Seemed inclined to leave the BSAA alone, though Blackwatch wasn't so fortunate. Not that Piers was complaining. But afterward, ZEUS kind of ... disappeared. No trace of him and no further infection. Piers never thought he'd see him again.
But there he is, standing right here in Edonia.

Alex and Dana, on the other hand, have been living off the grid for quite some time on a "permanent roadtrip,” going from town to town to keep out of the government’s eyes. Their next stop was Gravity Falls, a small tourist trap town that they could spend a few days in before they left again. Unfortunately for the residents, those two elements were taking the same path.
On the third hand, Dipper was going to try summoning the undead to prove himself to the agents in town.
