Jack's first priority is to get Jamie home safe, but Berk's inhabitants - human and otherwise - are certainly not making it easy.

    Knowing they will leave Berk and the Vikings behind as soon as they know how to, Jack is not going to risk the pain of growing close to any of these people (or dragons, for that matter). But Hiccup Horrendous Haddock, wearing his heart on his sleeve, doesn't seem to want to take the hint.

    There was a boy in Decked Out, who was very clearly not a Hermit.

    The ground was approaching. Tommy’s hands opened in the air, reached out, tensed, clawed, like he was trying to catch something.
    Like somebody was reaching out to him.
    His fingers clasped around nothing, reached again, stretching out in his efforts to clasp onto the hand-

    And for one, crucial moment, he did.

    It fizzled at his fingertips, shocking all the way up his arm, and he tightened his hold on it and pulled.

Tommy honestly had no idea how long he had been in the darkness. Minutes felt like hours, and hours like seconds. He had no idea how he’d even ended up here unless this was death. For a little while he had tried screaming. The blackness swallowed his voice, and his throat hurt so he stopped trying. Time passed. Or maybe it didn’t. He blacked out. When he came to, he was falling from the sky. Expletives burst from his mouth as he fell toward the grass. By the time he hit the ground, his voice had been silenced. The cracked screen of his communicator showed him a blaring red message.

    Tommy finds his way to Hermitcraft... And maybe to healing.
