It wasn't terribly unusual to run into a coworker in the scene: Arkham was big enough to sustain a public kink nightlife, but not big enough to support many venues at once. And Dreamlands paid well enough, at least once you'd gotten established, but almost everybody had side gigs. He'd seen (or rather heard, and then avoided) Kayne at open night more than once.
The etiquette was: if you ran into somebody in their private life, no you didn't.
