When Danny tried to reach out to the Titans and explain to them his project, he was met with overhearing how they were now working with the GIW to 'make sure he stayed dead'. His patience is thin, he's lost faith in his own decision and is leaning more into Slade Wilson guiding him. As long as he has Slade, he isn't alone, after all.
Batman is not happy with Robin's brash decision making.

But, if his potential death could save the world, what could he do? The entire point of Nico's birth was to serve and fight for the gods, and this was the highest honor he could give. But that didn't entice him very much. But if the world ended, nobody would survive, and Nico couldn't risk that. Not if it was Bianca. She was the only family he had, the only person who cared for him deep down, and she had given it all for him. Now, it was Nico's turn to give it all back.
"If not for me, or the world, or even Hazel..." Pluto sighs, "do it for your sister."
Nico bites down on his lip so hard he tastes blood.
Pluto frowns, grim and unnatural, and his fingers dig into Nico's shoulder. He glances over his shoulder, only to see that Bianca and Reyna had seemed to freeze. Time had stopped during their conversation.
He looks back to Pluto, and feels a cold sweat drip down his nape.
Nico knows he's going to die, and he refuses to leave his sister with that thought. Maybe, if he makes her hate him it won't hurt as much.
"Where can I find the entrance to Tartarus?"

Not the answer she was hoping for. But considering the lateness of the hour and the sleep-blurred voice suggesting she might have pulled him right out of REM sleep that was… surprisingly coherent as far as answers went.
“You remember her, right?” she presses, because what she just got wasn’t exactly an answer. “She was real. A werewolf, but she always gave pure unicorn vibes and then I went and asked her for help because I couldn’t think of anyone else to ask and everything went wrong from there…”
“And now we’re fixing it,” interrupts the voice on the other side of the line.
“But are we? Is anything we’re doing actually going to help her at all?”
A question she really tried not to ask herself too often – let alone out loud – and now here it was, out in the open.
“I’m not really trying to help her. Just doing what I’m told. Your mastermind energy makes you really hard to refuse,” Pugsley tells her and that’s… another thing that might have been better off staying unspoken. “If that’s what she meant by you being yourself I think she might be… proud of you?”
