Dennis froze. As he did, he noticed the man before him tensing in turn, muscles tightening beneath skin, chest inflating with a deep breath. He knew that voice. He dreaded looking up, but it was like watching a car crash; he had to look.
“Dr Robby?” He blurted out, voice cracking as if he’d just been cursed by a repeated adolescence.-

It was fine to need to get out of bed during the night to make a trip to the bathroom, of course it was. Even a couple of times was no bother. But on the night that Will was awoken no less than five times by Hannibal creeping out of bed to urinate, he’d had enough.

Dr. Hannibal Lecter was no stranger to obtaining such services through the exchange of currency. He had never fallen victim to shame or stigma, but rather considered it simply another form of supporting the arts. Financing sex workers allowed Hannibal to maintain a level of distance and security, but also engage in more niche desires without the awkward fumbling of attempting to navigate suitable partners. He could simply look for someone offering the acts that he fancied on any particular evening.
Or morning. Or afternoon. Depending on his mood and schedule.-

Having hurled themselves off of a bridge somewhere when the loneliness became too much."

In an Alternative Universe, Will is not called upon by Jack to help the FBI, but he still teaches. When Alana somehow manages to convince him to join her for after-work drinks, she introduces him to her elusive old mentor, Dr Hannibal Lecter, who decides that he must have Will by any means necessary, which is exactly how Will finds himself waking up in a concrete cellar.

Will Graham is called to a scene where a man has been brutally murdered, and the only witness is a Hybrid feline who refuses to talk. Luckily for the FBI, however, the Hybrid is very interested in Will.

It's not obligatory to read the original fic, but I would strongly suggest doing so in order to get an idea of their dynamic and the relationship that they established in that ridiculous story.
Hannibal is taking Will on a little month-long vacation to his "vacation property" so that he can win Will over to the idea of them living together. It may not go exactly according to plan.

If Will had wanted a make-believe marriage with an unsatisfied wife, he would have gone back to his snow-clad cabin. Not that he legitimately believed that to be an option, no, Will had made a commitment when he pulled them off of the cliff, and he was going to stick with it, for real this time.

“Will, you needn’t have gotten me anything,” Hannibal said as he watched the profiler shaking snow from his hair in the foyer, dark curls bouncing around haphazardly as snowflakes shed in every direction.
“I know,” Will mumbled, his cheeks red from more than just the winter weather as he peered up at the Doctor, a small box in his hands. The wrapping was simple, red with little cartoon snowmen, but the item inside had been making Will sick with anxiety for the last month. “But you got me something, didn’t you?”
“Perceptive as always,” Hannibal replied, the corner of his lips tugging into a faint smirk. “Several gifts, actually.”I was shocked at how much people seemed to like To Make An Omelette, so I decided to write a festive sequel! I'd recommend reading that fic if you haven't first, but it definitely isn't obligatory. The main thing to know here is just that Will is a trans man, and Hannibal is vaguely agender/genderqueer.

Hannibal’s eyes lit up. It was the most he had heard the man speak, and he was enchanted. “Tell me, Will, what weaknesses do those in my profession possess?”
The barista’s curls bounced as his head rose suddenly, glasses pushed up his nose by a clumsy hand and oh, there was that eye contact. Who knew that the colour blue could be so blisteringly hot? Flames seemed to radiate from him, little slithers of a deeply contained seething energy escaping through the cracks of his physique.
“Narcissism, for one—” the man almost hissed the word, and Hannibal’s smile turned into a grin, “—a tendency towards smugness in spite of ignorance, the common act of mistaking an expensive tutelage for legitimate erudition, not to mention a complete deficiency in regards to empathy.”

“What the fuck,” Will whispered to himself, swallowing hard as he found himself having to almost lean backwards to see Hannibal standing before him, now a colossal obelisk of a creature. A literal giant. He felt like he might throw up.
“Well, this is most unexpected,” Hannibal’s next statement was, to put it simply, a massive understatement.

Will and Hannibal go foraging for oyster mushrooms. Something about the mushrooms they find isn't quite right, and Will suddenly finds himself reduced to five inches tall. Will Hannibal help him, or take advantage of the situation?

“Looks like I don’t realistically have many options,” he murmured, not quite willing to confess just exactly how committed he was to their current situation. He smoothed his hand down across the sheet, returning to watching Hannibal’s peacefully sleeping face, the way his dry lips parted just enough to let out light puffs of air. “Will Graham died, I can stay in purgatory a little longer to make sure that Hannibal stays dead with me.”

Surviving the fall, much to Will's initial displeasure, leaves Will and Hannibal isolated in a remote location in Canada, with only Chiyoh's intermittent visits to prevent cabin fever and keep them afloat.
There is one more problem, however, which is that the fall appears to have triggered some sort of traumatic response in Hannibal, resulting in him becoming entirely mute.
Will needs to learn not only how to live with the decisions that he has made but also how to deal with the man he once knew no longer utilising one of his most precious weapons.
How can he tackle their new life together if it feels like the man who loved him is fading out of existence? -

Hannibal stretched into a standing position from where he had been leaning, his long limbs looking almost feline. Once again he neatened his suit, and his russet eyes landed upon his prey with a hint of arrogance. “Do you not relish suffering? You almost seem to seek it out, do you not?”
“I do not!” Will snapped, his voice raising with very little self control. He folded his arms across his torso in an attempt to disguise the quiver rising in his fingers, determined to hold his ground despite the disorientation that brought him into this situation.
“Then release yourself from it.”Set during mid/late season one. Will Graham has once again had time and memories escape him, only to find himself at the door of his therapist's office. Dr Lecter seems oddly unsurprised, but he does have some observations which result in a proposal for a more unorthodox treatment.
