She spends her days fine-tuning BD's at a small tech startup, and her nights wondering if she’s about to make the same mistake twice.
Both are in new, exciting relationships. Both are trying to forget the past and move forward.
But neither can shake the memory of those beautiful six months in 2077, when everything was raw, electric, and heartbreakingly real. When they felt the pure rush of falling in love.
This is kind of a slow-burn story. It's about coming to terms with the past, the heavy price of regret, and a hope for better days....

A number of years have passed since V called Judy from the hospital and her whole world was forever changed. She’s moved out of Night City, and lives on the other side of the world, as far away from the source of her sorrow as she possibly can.
After their love affair came to a painful, tragic end, V never married, had a family, or was in a serious relationship. She's just had a hard time healing from the rejection suffered at the hands of her one and only true love.
She works in the foreign offices of the NUSA’s Counter Intelligence Division and lives in a modest studio apartment on the outskirts of the city. She's single, sorta happy, but terrified of opening her heart back up.
One day, she gets an email inviting her to a farewell celebration being held at Lizzie’s Bar, thousands of miles away. The club is closing its doors for good and the Mox are throwing one final bash to commemorate the bittersweet occasion….
Immediately, V's thoughts return to Jude. Will she be there? Alone? With Bianca?
It’s been a long, long time since they’ve seen one another face to face….
Valerie makes up her mind to attend. She’s nervous, scared, but a tiny part of her still longs to see Judy one more time….

Unfortunately she lost all contact with her chooms and her Judy is married to another woman leaving her heart in tatters. Venera is left in NC unable to use cyberware leaving her out of the Merc gig. She tries her best to fight her demons and live a better life, however life in NC proved that was impossible. Arasaka has plans plaguing NC into even more darkness. Venera plans to leave NC for good looking for another fresh start but something in NC makes her stay put, at least for now.
