This is a more in-depth exploration of one of the scenes from my fic 'beautiful boy,' but you don't have to read it to understand it.
Jake accuses Lo'ak of stealing one of his guns. This time, it actually isn't him. But that doesn't stop Jake from kicking him out of the marui.
Essentially, this is the last fight Lo'ak ever has with Jake before realising that it's all pointless.

Kiri and Tsireya never found Lo'ak on that shore, so he has to come to terms with his attempt on his own.
However, after a horrible nightmare, Jake offers to soothe Lo'ak with tsaheylu, something he hasn't done in years. Lo'ak accepts, not thinking about what else his dad might find amongst his swirling, poisoned thoughts.
Or, Lo'ak's struggles with the weight of his grief vs Jake's C- parenting that he might be able to upgrade to a B+ when he realizes how much pain his son is in.

Similarly to the “Can’t help falling in Love with you” Jaytiri fic. This one resonated with me. Instead of my mom though, this fic reminded me of my siblings and the shenanigans we get up to. It made me laugh the whole time as they have the same humor as my siblings and me and now it’s kind of bittersweet as I’m writing this because my sisters moving away for collage and that’ll just be one of the people I see daily… Gone… Sorry for the info dump at the end I loved this fic and you should read it if you’re reading this!!!!

I can’t help falling in love with you was the song my mom sang to me whenever I was upset as a child. It’s the one song I’ll never forget the lyrics to. Avatar has been my recent hyper fixation for the past (checks watch) year and a half as far as I can tell along with He Who Fights With Monsters and EPIC the musical in the hyper fixations that never leave me, so between the song, the writing, and the fandom, I can’t help falling in love with this fic.

Once again i got hit with the avatar fever, but this time i am playing monster hunter world so I have a couple of ideas of how to put those very angry lizards&co in pandoras setting. OC is there because i wanted to give loak another bro (with payakan) but without deleting all his story with neteyam. And someone to teach him how to use an insect glaive.

Summary
Lo'ak blames himself for Neteyam's death, and his father's behavior doesn't help him to get better at all. Lo'ak is hurt, Lo'ak is in pain and yet no one sees him.
Sure, his siblings are there for him, Payakan is still an attentive ear when Lo'ak needs to relieve some of his everyday burden. But he still hurts. Deeply. His brother's death left a gaping hole inside and he does not intend on closing it any time soon, perhaps he finds a bit of comfort in it. Yet it eats him alive.
But what if the only things that kept him together disappeared? What if everything vanished? What if the last threads, on which he's hanging, broke?
OR
Lo'ak actually pulls the trigger.

Then, Amaram betrays them. He tries to kill Adolin and sells Kaladin into sexual slavery.
When Adolin finally finds Kaladin again, he’s broken. He doesn’t believe the man he once loved could be a prince.
But Adolin refuses to give up.
