Lapis clenches her jaw, “Give it back.”
Peridot shakes her head, “no deal. You’re MY servant now. And you’re going to have to-”
“Wife.”
“Make up for all the weird salt water, and as our servant-
“Wife.”
“Help with our study.” She finishes briskly, “wait, what?”
“Didn’t you finish the book?” She snaps.
“I mean, I skimmed the important parts, women come onto to land to play and then put their skin back on to go to sea, blah, blah, capture their seal skin.”
“And they’ll marry you and bare you lots of children.”
“Bare you lots of…” Peridot can feel the blood drain from her face.
“Now, at least untie me. Wifey.” She smirks at her. Smartass.--

Summary
Two hundred years after the events in the series, Steven is gone, and he's left a group of Crystal Gems in mourning. After the funeral, Lars and Pearl start sharing their grief with each other, slowly becoming the friend the other might just need, if only for a while.
However, it doesn't stay quiet long in Beach City, and soon, the Diamonds give them an ultimatum:
Return Pink Diamond's body to us or you're done.
Faced with the first decision they have to make without Steven by their side, the Crystal Gems know one thing just as well as the Diamonds - they can't both hold on to Steven forever.

Summary : Peridot... Well she's a quiet kid who doesn't get in anyone's way. When her and her mother move to beach city she ends up making friends with a middle schooler named Steven. She keeps to herself and concentrates on he studies, but gets bullied when she does one thing on her first day of school. Getting bullied causes her to fall in love with a girl and suffers because she can't have her. Because she already belongs to someone else and doesn't love Peridot romantically, she doesn't even love her at all.
