"Daaad? I has a question." The kid said in that normal child wonder way, words jumbled together as they jumped in place, their little hands grabbing at Sans's pants.
He looked down at the kid, his smile growing at the sight of them, his kid. "What's up, Kiddo?"
"What was mom like?" They innocently asked, looking up at their father- completely unaware of the conflicted emotions that overwhelmed him at the ask.
"Your.. your mom? What she was, uh, like? Why do ya wanna know that?" He scratched the back of his neck, looking away from the kid. That was... a very loaded question.
A question that made his soul skip a beat, both painful and sweet.
