Summary
The Crisis collapsed the multiverse, creating a single world suddenly host to heroes, villains, and creatures from an untold number of realities. Vampires from multiple versions of Earth now coexist, each with different strengths and weaknesses, powers and abilities. Some are more dangerous than others.
Some, like Carmilla Karnstein, were created by literal Gods.
Now, someone is trying to build a better vampire. They will combine the strengths and eliminate the weaknesses to create the ultimate predator. This new breed will prey not only on humans but the heroes that defend them, plunging the world into darkness.
A group of heroes will be drawn together to stop it. The smartest woman in the world. The strongest woman in the world. An angel. The angel’s shield. Carmilla, and her wife, a plucky reporter with all the powers of the 4th estate... and perhaps more later.
Can they stop this evil plan in time?

“Is there a story behind this one?” Nancy asks, nodding at the painting. Robin chews on her bottom lip, gaze flitting over the painting as she mulls over her answer. Nancy watches her, struck by the way the overhead lights reflect in her eyes and make them glitter. She’s really fucking pretty, with a smattering of freckles that Nancy hadn’t noticed before, and choppy bangs that fall into her eyes. When she turns to Nancy and starts talking about the painting, her expression lights up to the point where everything else falls away and all Nancy can focus on is her. She talks about her inspiration for the painting; how she’d repressed her sexuality during her teenage years, the freedom and relief she’d felt upon coming out and living authentically.
Nancy is so fucking thankful for her eidetic memory in this moment, because she’s supposed to be writing all of this down but she’s way too busy admiring the way Robin’s voice curls around every syllable.
