It’s time for the party to head off to college, from Hawkins, Indiana all the way in sunny California!
What was supposed to be a 3-day road trip turns into spontaneous, last minute adventures that end up taking them off the road and delaying college life. Between shared motel beds, a dive into possible world-ending powers, and embarrassing childhood memories, all ideas of “platonic friendship” between Mike and Will are slowly being dismantled.
The lifelong crush Will Byers tried to keep buried is beginning to catch up with him as Mike Wheeler grows bolder and bolder with testing the bounds of their relationship, despite his pathological struggle to deal with his feelings…
Or, Mike and Will’s feelings for each other are building faster than they can keep up and things start getting a little… fluffy, angsty, and super smutty.

After everything that they had been through together, Will Byers is sure one thing remains unchanged: his feelings for Mike Wheeler are one-sided. Though he's living in the Wheelers' basement, he tries his best to get over Mike and fully accept himself with the help of Robin Buckley. Mike, meanwhile, is struggling with emotions he doesn't yet understand and a twisting feeling in his stomach at the thought of Will and Robin getting close so quickly. Misunderstandings grow, jealousy simmers, and buried feelings refuse to stay quiet as the boys figure themselves out.

After Lonnie and Joyce Divorced, Joyce moved to Lenora with the kids. After a few years She rekindled an old high school romance with Hopper and moves back to Hawkins, in that time Will has become an entirely new person and no one remembers his old self.
Enjoy the adventures and fears that Will Byers has of balancing his new self where no one knows who he used to be and trying to balance a new (old) crush on Mike.

Will pressed his face to the glass, wishing that he were closer. The man’s cheeks were pale, having thick eyebrows and lips. His nose was long, though it didn’t disrupt the harmony of the man’s features. His eyes were the most captivating part of his face: wide and brown, reflecting the moonlight.
In other words, he was beautiful.
Will found himself blushing, feeling foolish for swooning over the knight, who clearly was just doing his job. He couldn’t help but itch for his parchment and ink, to see the man up close, take in those eyes when they weren’t forced to remain a disciplined neutral.
Or: William Byers is a prince under King Henry's rule, known for being one of the most exceptional clerics of the entire lands. In comparison, his life remains pretty lackluster, and Will is convinced that nothing more will ever come of it.
That is, until a certain Sir Michael Wheeler is elected as Will's personal knight.

“Sorry,” Will breathed, and then shook himself out of… whatever he was doing; ogling, oh god. He was ogling Mike. “I didn’t mean to—you’re just, you look different.”

Summary
When a dark corruption spreads from the Deep Woods north of the kingdom of Roane, it falls to Will and his friends to investigate the cause. But as they close in on what seems to be the inevitable final confrontation with the Mad Wizard they have been fighting for years, Will finds his magic failing him as the darkness that scarred him during his first encounter with that very man finally overtakes him. Will stands no chance at stopping the demons that have been haunting him – after all how can he fight for a happy ending when he doesn’t believe he deserves one?

According to a divine prophecy, Mike and his party have a year to defeat Vecna before the Undying King fulfills his mission of destroying the world and killing everyone on it. So, no pressure.
On top of this, Mike has been given his own prophecy which states that, during the final battle with Vecna, he would meet the person he was destined to fall in love with- His soulmate. Except there was one problem with this:
Mike was sure he had already met his soulmate: His best friend, Will Byers. (Fantasy!AU)

“Tell me,” he says, softer. “What are you so afraid I’ll do?”
William’s breath stutters, chin dipping, then lifting, barely a movement, barely consent to anything at all. Michael notices, and for a moment he looks almost confused by it, by him, by the way William’s body answers even when his mouth won’t.
“Are you worried that I’ll kiss you?” Michael asks.
William looks away, but Michael follows the small dip of his chin, tracking the heat blooming up his neck.
“You are,” he says quietly, sounding like he’s finally understanding something that’s been in front of him for weeks. His gaze flicks to William’s mouth again, unmistakable, before he drags it back up. “And you’re worried I won’t.”

A year after Vecna's defeat, things have finally returned to normal. Well, aside from the lingering nightmares. And the fact that Mike is in love with his best friend and it's getting increasingly harder to keep that to himself.
But it's all going to be fine. They're going to go to Steve's parent's heretofore undiscussed lakehouse, spend two weeks slow-roasting in the Indiana sun, and be normal teenagers for once. Really, the least they deserve at this point is a little summertime relaxation.

You're always doing those— those ugly craft projects with her, and I didn't even know you liked crafts, and I didn't know you liked Holly more than me, either. I don't know anything about you."
Will blinked at him, mouth agape. "They're not ugly," he said, weakly.
"They are." Mike glared at Will harder. "See? I didn't know you lied now, either."
The Byers spend their first year with the Wheelers. Will learns how to handle Mike, and Mike learns how to handle change.
