Summary
In which Shane Hollander is in heavy denial about being attracted to Ilya Rozanov as a biological submissive, but ends up being together with him anyway.
"Nervous because you are sub?"
Shane's heart jumps all the way up to his throat. His foot jerks up without meaning to. Rozanov dodges right before Shane kicks him in the chin.
"Watch it, man!" Rozanov shouts, head lifting in annoyance, but whatever he sees on Shane's face when he looks up causes any trace of irritation to dissipate from his features.
"I'm not a sub," Shane claims, trying to sound sure of himself. He refuses to be a damsel in distress, god damn it. "I'm not. I'm just… not, okay?"

"So, uh." Shane's father cuts through the fog of Ilya's thoughts. "How do you feel about all of this?"
What sort of question was that? "Uh, good, I guess." Ilya shrugs, before remembering that David's son is probably out there having a panic attack with his crying wife.

Summary
Law finds himself feeling on edge aboard the Thousand Sunny. Roronoa Zoro, one of the more formidable opponents in the crew, sat on the other side of the ship while they're trying to sleep, certainly does not help things.
"Got something to say, Law?"
The way his name rolls off Roronoa's tongue sends a thrill of something down his spine. Law isn't quite ready to investigate what that something might be.
Law settles back against the Thousand Sunny walls. "You're not asleep," he observes.
"I would have been, if someone wasn't thinking so damned loudly," Roronoa grumbles.

Summary
Angel does not expect to come into contact with anyone from the Hazbin Hotel after he surrenders himself to Val's control. Several months later, the radio demon comes knocking on Val's door for a deal with Angel.
Angel curls further into himself, chin tucked all the way down to his chest. "What do you want, Alastor?" He grits his teeth against the bubbling anticipation in his gut. "You only have me for the hour." He just wants to get whatever this is over and done with.
"Hm," Alastor tilts his head to the side. "Is that how you address all the many men you've serviced in my position?"

His phone buzzes, and his fantasy fizzles out like a bubble. His heart drops. He knows without looking who it is. He pulls out his phone and checks his screen, and yep, it's who he think it is. "Speaking of other jobs," Angel puts down his glass. "I've got a film shoot, I gotta —"
"Wait." Husk's hand touches him by the wrist, but doesn't pull. Angel pauses, giving him a questioning look. "Let me get you lunch."

Summary
Ilya’s hand wraps around his bare wrist and squeezes. Shane barely stops himself from collapsing to his knees.
The pressure lights up every receptor of his touch-starved nervous system, wrenching a small, pained noise from the back of his throat. Every muted sensation comes flooding back so intensely that it almost hurts. He needs Ilya to hold him down until there’s nothing inside him but quiet. He wants to sink into him and disappear.
It takes Shane an entire beat to remember where they are. Fighting against the fog in his mind, he manages to drag his gaze up to meet Ilya’s.
There’s a slow-dawning horror and understanding on Ilya’s face.

Summary
Sanji tries to imagine Yonji carrying anything for him at all just to be nice. The daydream falls apart instantly, because Yonji only ever took things from Sanji to break them.
“Do you promise you’ll give it back?” he musters the courage to ask, clinging to the cookbook a kind old woman just sold him, unwilling to let it go without making sure. She had smiled and said she was certain her family’s recipes would be in good hands with him and Sanji doesn’t want to prove her wrong before he gets a chance to even try. “You have to promise.”
Zoro gazes down at him with that inscrutable look on his face he’s worn all day. He could probably take the book from Sanji pretty easily but he doesn’t yank it away or twist his wrist until he lets go. They just stand there, sizing each other up. Sanji’s nerves mount with every second but he doesn’t back down.
Yonji would have hurt him already and laughed about it. The first mate of the Strawhat crew simply says, after enough time that Sanji knows he’s taken it seriously, “Promise.”
