Summary
Após a morte de sua mãe, Ayla decide sair em uma jornada pokémon para aproveitar seus últimos dias fora de um hospital. O que antes era apenas acromatopsia (a incapacidade de ver cores fora dos tons de cinza) agora está evoluindo rapidamente para uma perca total da visão, e talvez até a morte.
Sozinha no mundo, ela consegue seu primeiro pokémon e reencontra um amigo de infância que a convence de que vale a pena lutar pela vida. Esperançosa, ela vai em busca de dinheiro para pagar pelos custos de sua viagem à Hoenn, onde ela espera pedir para Jirachi a realização de seu maior desejo: viver. -

Volkner just wants to be an artist with a screwdriver, not bound by his city or his friends' expectations. But when a major blackout gets him banned from his gym and his tinkering, he decides on a whim to leave Sunyshore altogether, and use his smarts for something more devious.
Team Rocket's a joke at first. The crazy cartoon disguises? Mech building? Elaborate all-day schemes just to steal a single Pikachu? Volkner — now Agent Marcell — thinks he can do better. So when he accidentally commits his first crime, he sends himself down a dangerous path of evil, where awesome powers and dreams of world renovation await.
Meanwhile, Sunyshore City starts to fall apart without him.
