V found herself on the roof, with Johnny sitting by her side. Their gaze was fixated on the luminescent glow of the Secure Your Soul advertisement in the towering building before them.
"So, what will it be?" Johnny's voice broke the silence. After everything they went through, V was able to notice the small jitters of anxiousness as he waited for her decision.
But V doesn't remember the answer she gave. Instead, she found herself jolted awake in her former apartemnt - her very old apartment, one she had while working for Arasaka's counterintelligence.
Was it all just a dream? A warning? An opportunity?

It's sort of "time-travel" I guess (??). I wanted to play with the idea of fixing shit to get a happier ending for our V.

Anakin smiles at him, checks to make sure his lightsaber is still hanging from his belt, then responds, "Yes, Buir. Let's go."

Amu stands in the middle of the room, her arms wrapped securely around a small child, swaying from side to side. Anakin doesn't recognize the lullaby she's singing, but it seems Buir does. He slips past Anakin and walks over to Amu. He wraps his arms around her from behind, and his warm voice joins hers.

Jango's eyebrows furrow as he watches Anakin go through some lightsaber katas. He's been running through the katas every day for the past three months. And Jango is...frustrated. "He doesn't understand," he says softly. Shmi steps forward and puts a hand on his shoulder.
"Then explain it to him, cyare, but you need to understand that if he still wants to be a Jedi after you do, then you need to let him. If you don't, he will never forgive you," Shmi declares.

In the end, after much deliberation and inner conflict, V made the decision to assist Reed, choosing to deliver Songbird. The consequences of their actions were unexpectedly sobering. The much-anticipated reward turned out to be less than what they had imagined.
The relic that had been causing much trouble could finally be removed, and with it, Johnny, who had been a constant companion, disappeared. However, the removal of the chip had unforeseen effects. V, once a vibrant personality, had become just a shadow of her former self.
Stripped of her Cyberware, she was no longer a legend of Night City. She found herself in a new role, far removed from her previous life. Working as a bartender at El Coyote Cojo, she has been trying to make ends meet, navigating her way through this new reality.
Among the new faces she encountered, there was one she least expected - Solomon Reed. He came carrying not just his own presence but also a handful of hope, something that V had been in dire need of.
