Guillermo has fucked up. It wasn’t intentional. He didn’t know that he was breaking one of the most serious vampire/familiar taboos. But did he really need to be told? He’d recognized it as a mistake as soon as Derek chomped down on his neck and blood, his blood, went spraying over every surface in the storeroom.
As soon as Derek touched him, Guillermo knew that it didn’t feel right. Nothing about it was right. Derek’s mouth on his neck, Derek’s hands on his body. Guillermo shudders now, thinking about it. It’s too late for regret now. His regrets aren’t going to save him. Right now, he has to concentrate on just staying alive.
“I am already painfully aware of how little you think of your master but you felt it necessary to let everyone else fucking know it, too.“
Guillermo looks up at Nandor and tries to convey his deep remorse with his eyes. “Please, Master,” he pleads softly. “If I could just explain —“
With vampire speed, Nandor’s hand is on his neck, pressing against his windpipe with firm pressure. It’s not a life-threatening hold, but Guillermo’s eyeballs soon feel like they’re throbbing.

“We need to get you sobered up so we can go home okay? Here’s what we’re gonna do.” Guillermo looked around, in case anyone was watching, or worse, listening. He wasn’t scared of witnesses as much as he was embarrassed by his own ‘plan’. Of course he was dying to finally feel his master’s fangs sink into his neck, but this time he had a good reason. He was just doing his job, nothing more. Any satisfaction he would get from it he would keep to himself, and probably think about later at home in the privacy his room (if Nandor didn’t bleed him dry, that is).
“You’re gonna feed from me okay?”
---Nandor gets shit-faced, Guillermo tries to get him sobered up. It's a slippery slope.

Summary
Stede has always longed to see the Northern Lights, but never had the chance to go during his marriage as Mary hated vacationing anywhere cold. With his father’s retirement looming, Stede only has a small window of time to achieve his dream before he’s tied down to his responsibility to the Bonnet family legacy. He sets out on an impulsive and woefully unprepared trip to Finland to see the Northern Lights and perhaps discover something about himself along the way.
Edward Teach moved to Finland years ago for a change of scenery and to get away from… well, he doesn’t like thinking about it. His tour business is successful, and he’s proud to earn a living showing off all the wonderful things about the place he calls home now. Although, maybe, if he’s being honest, he’s just a bit lonely? Still, no time to dwell on that since it’s his busiest season, and one of the best times of year for his biggest moneymaker - snowmobile tours to view the Northern Lights.

Summary
Stede Bonnet runs the prehistoric department at his local science museum. When it’s announced that the prehistoric exhibit is going down for maintenance, he decides to take his department on a 3-week amateur dino dig. There, he meets senior paleontologist Edward Teach, who’s sick of museum work and hates that the amateur digs exploit the free labor of people who are passionate about paleontology and archaeology. He’s also sick of most of the people he meets on these digs, who all treat him like an unapproachable god. Until he meets Stede Bonnet, who has heard his name but never had a face to put it to and actually treats him like a person for the first time since he discovered a major fossil. Stede is freshly divorced and has never thought about his sexuality. But he feels a strange draw to Ed that he’s never felt with anyone before.

God, Eddie fucking Munson. Steve hated him with every fiber of his being. He was annoying, a freak, and overall terrible to be around. He wasn't sure how he was going to be able to complete any of his jobs with Eddie on his side.

To his dismay, it looked much the same as he’d left it to lie spread-eagled in the sand not fifteen minutes ago: sand and seaweed, a scattering of shells; his oars, discarded in a clatter to his left; his dinghy, with its small but significant hole; the surf, and further out, the cause of his dinghy’s demise, those sharp and jagged hidden rocks.
Well, there was nothing for it. He’d have to go into the forest.
